Abstract:
The invention relates to a receiver and a method for automatically programming a receiver adapted to receive radio-television signals belonging to a plurality of radio-television networks in at least two different formats, the method comprising the steps of: storing into a first table (200) a first plurality of programs of said plurality of radio-television networks receivable by said receiver in a first signal format, associable with a first sorting criterion (95) of said first programs; storing into a second table (300) a second plurality of programs of said plurality of radio-television networks receivable by said receiver in a second signal format, associable with a second sorting criterion (100) of said second programs, including a step of storing into a third table (400) programs stored in said first (200) and second (300) tables based on existing matches between said first (95) and said second (100) sorting criteria.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mobile communication and localization device (1) cooperating with a plurality of mobile network devices (10-80) and comprising: a processing unit (2); a data structure containing a plurality of entries, each entry containing information about a corresponding mobile network device (10-80) and a corresponding time stamp; a unit (4) for sending data packets at respective transmission instants, each data packet containing position data indicating the position of corresponding mobile network devices (10-80); a unit (4) for receiving data packets sent by sender mobile devices (10-80) belonging to the plurality of mobile network devices (10-80); and a unit (190-310) for determining the relative position of corresponding mobile network devices (10-80) based on position data contained in the data packets.
Abstract:
A device for receiving and transmitting information in a mobile communication network includes apparatus for making a voice call to a telephone number, a memory area for storing the telephone number and at least one identifier of the mobile network operator to which the telephone number belongs. The device further includes the ability to retrieve the identifier through the mobile communication network. The device can extract the network operator identifier of the called number from a message sent automatically when setting up the voice call. The invention also relates to a communication method for a mobile communication network.
Abstract:
A method of communication between a calling terminal (M1) and a called terminal (M2), which can be connected to each other through at least one mobile communication network (R1,R2), the called terminal (M2) being equipped with a system for detecting its geographic position, the method including the steps of: sending a connection message from the calling terminal (M1) to the called terminal (M2) through the at least one communication network (R1,R2); sending an answer message from the called terminal (M2) to the calling terminal (M1) through the at least one communication network (R1,R2), wherein the called terminal (M2) enters geographic position information (GPS2) into the answer message and sends the answer message to the calling terminal (M1).
Abstract:
The invention discloses a method of bi-directional communication in a cellular mobile telecommunication network (2), wherein a terminal ( 10) receives signals transmitted by at least one radio base station (5.7) of a downlink network of the cellular mobile telecommunication network (2) and selects one serving transmitting radio base station (6) among one or more transmitting (5) or transceiving (7) radio base stations of the downlink network, wherein the downlink network operator selects one serving receiving radio base station (8) among one or more receiving radio base stations (3,7) of an uplink network which have received a signalling message (URRA) transmitted by the terminal (10). By means of the serving receiving base station (8) of the uplink network and the serving transmitting base station (6) of the downlink network, the terminal (10) establishes bidirectional connections over the cellular mobile telecommunication network (2).
Abstract:
A method for displaying a video stream according to a format defined by a user, wherein a graphic element is superimposed on the displayed video stream, and wherein the dimensions and/or position of the graphic element are modified as a function of commands received from the user, so as to define a screen area in which a certain portion of the frames of the video stream is displayed. The video stream is then displayed in a format wherein, for each frame, the frame portion defined by the graphic element is displayed with altered dimensions and/or position on the screen.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to digital video content production, distribution and display systems. It describes a method for transporting data within a digital video stream, wherein said digital video stream comprises information and/or application data not intended for display and at least one frame comprising an image to be displayed, and wherein said at least one frame comprises a number of pixels which is greater than the number of pixels of said image. The method provides for entering said information and/or application data into pixels of said frame which are not occupied by said image. The invention also relates to a method for playing a video stream that carries information and/or application data within its frames.
