    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce energy loss by forming a rigid, integrally columnar body which consists of strips, each of which has a distal end and a proximal end, and has a fin. CONSTITUTION: The elongated strips are mounted at each other by their proximal ends 33 and distal ends 34. Connecting parts for mounting a suitable connector 34 for connecting a transducer to another device to be driven are mounted at the distal end of the column. As a result, the working electric power required by a handpiece is lessened if the transducer is included.

    Abstract: An improved electrosurgical safety circuit where the currents in the active and patient leads are monitored, the monitored currents being respectively rectified and then subtracted from one another. Whenever the active current exceeds the patient or return current by an amount corresponding to a dynamically variable threshold, an appropriate measure is taken such as the sounding of an alarm and/or the de-energization of the electrosurgical generator. The dynamic threshold varies in accordance with the level of the signal applied to the patient and compensates for leakage current through stray capacitance from the active lead to ground.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide performance which is improved in electric surgical blood vessel blockage and in tissue binding by reducing thermal propagation and charring. SOLUTION: A generator for electric surgical operation has an output power control system 10 or increasing and decreasing the impedance of a tissue 14 in a circulatory pattern until the tissue 14 is dried. Further, the output power is cyclically applied by the control system 10 having feed-back for the impedance of the tissue which obeys the circulatory pattern of the output power by several times, depending upon a condition of the tissue until the tissue is completely dried. Application of a high power causes the impedance of the tissue to reach a high value, and then, the power is reduced so as to allow the impedance to lower. Accordingly, this control system 10 is adaptive to the tissue in view of such a fact that the output power is tuned in response to an impedance of the tissue.
