Abstract: PURPOSE: A smart belt and an operating method thereof are provided to prevent degradation of a work efficiency generated by the discharge of a battery. CONSTITUTION: A smart belt comprises a belt part(300A), a control module(300B), an exterior battery unit(300C), and a switching box(300D). The control module is detachable form the belt part and transmits a control signal and a data signal received from a smart helmet to a central control center or transmits a signal received from the central control center to the smart helmet. The exterior battery unit is equipped in one side of the belt part and includes one or more battery terminal boxes. The switching box includes a main body, a cover unit, and a hinge.
