    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for suppressing a frequency intervention between adjacent channels of a radar are provided to improve the directionality of the radar by restricting a bandwidth of a transmitted pulse. A pulse generator(100) generates a pulse signal and includes first and second filters, a switching unit and a mixer. The first filter(10) filters out an output signal from a frequency synthesizer and removes noises from the output signal. The switching unit(20) is periodically turned on/off and generates a pulse from a pulse Doppler radar. The second filter(30) filters out an intermediate frequency, and the intermediate frequency and a local frequency are inputted to the mixer(40). A pulse shaping circuit(50) receives up-converted pulse signals and adjusts a bandwidth of the pulse signal, such that frequency interference is suppressed between adjusts channels.
