Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing bookmark is provided to make a site movement easy by checking attributes of the site at a glance by a scheme like a TV channel change scheme, specially to enhance accessibility to the internet for a user who does not use the internet frequently. The bookmark information to be stored continues to be provided from a TV server or can be generated by enabling a user to register URL of a wanted site. If the apparatus receives a user input signal in correspondence with the allocated numbers, the apparatus selects the URL in correspondence with the allocated numbers(520). The user can instruct a registration, search or a screen movement of the internet site via a user inputting unit like an inputting unit adhered to the TV or a remote controller. If the bookmark information is displayed on a display unit, the user can receive information on the displayed internet site while moving a cursor. The internet site registered at the bookmark information is selected, arranged according to access frequency, and displayed for the user.
