Abstract: A washing machine with an electrolytic apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to control the size of the voltage supplied to the electrode through the control part, and uniformly hold the concentration of the electrolytic disposal water even if the flow rate is changed. A washing machine comprises: an electrolytic apparatus(120) for receiving water and generating the electrolytic disposal water; a current detecting part(308) for detecting the electric conductivity of the water supplied to the electrolytic apparatus; a flow rate detecting part(312) for detecting the flow rate of the water supplied to the electrolytic apparatus; and a control part(306) for controlling the concentration of the electrolytic disposal water to be uniformly held by controlling the electrolytic apparatus on the basis of the electric conductivity detected by the current detecting part and the flow rate detected by the flow rate detecting part.

Abstract: A washing machine is provided to use the electricity-decomposition apparatus stably by multiplying the voltage applying time and the detected current of the electrode, and correctly informing a user of the wear amount of the electrode through the informing unit. A washing machine comprises: a control unit for controlling the voltage applied to the electrode; an electrode wear amount detecting unit for detecting the wear amount of the electrode on the basis of the current flowed on the electrode if the electrode current satisfies the set area by the control of the control unit; and an informing unit for informing a user of the electrode wear amount detected by the electrode wear amount detecting unit. The control unit varies the voltage applied to the electrode when initially operated. The control unit varies the duty of the voltage applied to the electrode when initially operated.
