Abstract: PURPOSE: A user device retaining data, a storage device, and a data retaining method thereof are provided to improve data retention efficiency by retaining data in consideration with off-line time. CONSTITUTION: Global time is provided from a host(110). Storage data is periodically refreshed with reference to global time. The host provides the global time in an on-line state in which a storage device(120) is connected periodically or once. The refresh result of the storage data is stored as retention information in a refresh step.
