A method for transmitting random access preambles, and a method and an apparatus for allocating radio sources are provided to allow a terminal to transmit random access preambles to a network node and receive allocated radio resources effectively, through efficient designing of random access preambles. When a random access procedure is triggered(410), one of random access preamble sets is selected, depending on whether a radio channel condition value is bigger than a predetermined radio channel condition critical value and whether a size of a message to be transmitted is larger than a size of the minimum message(411). Herein, the random access preamble sets are previously defined between a terminal and a base station. Random access preambles are selected from the selected random access preamble set(441). The selected random preambles are transmitted to the base station through a random access channel(451).
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for performing handover in a mobile communication system are provided to allow an upper layer device of an ARQ apparatus to perform an order reconfiguration operation to perform selective retransmission on packets that a mobile terminal which has moved to a target cell has not been received. When a terminal performs handover from a source cell to a target cell, a transmission buffer(1215) receives PDCP(Packet Data Convergence Protocol) PDUs(Packet Data Units) a source base station, which controls the source cell, has failed to successfully transmit to the terminal, and stores them, and also stores PDCP PDUs delivered from an upper node. When a handover complete message including a sequence number of a final PDCP PDU that has been successfully received from the source cell and sequence numbers of the reception-failed PDCP PDUs is received, an RLC(Radio Link Control) unit(1230) transmits the first control information together with the other remaining PDCP PDUs than the final PDCP PDU among the PDCP PDUs, which have been received from the source base station, to the terminal, and transmits the second control signal together with the final PDCP PDU.

본 발명은 인터넷과 연동하는 패킷 망을 통해 음성 서비스를 제공하는 이동통신 시스템에서 무선 링크를 통해 VoIP 패킷을 전송하는 방법 및 장치에 대한 것이다. 상기 방법은, UDP 체크섬을 포함하는 헤더를 가지는 인터넷 프로토콜 기반의 음성 패킷(VoIP 패킷)을 입력받는 과정과, 상기 UDP 체크섬을 통해 상기 음성 패킷을 검사하여 상기 음성 패킷이 오류를 가지고 있는지 판단하는 과정과, 상기 음성 패킷이 오류를 가지고 있지 않다면, 상기 헤더를 압축하여, 상기 헤더 중 상기 UDP 체크섬을 제외한 나머지 헤더 필드들에 대해 계산된 CRC 코드와 상기 UDP 체크섬을 포함하는 헤더-압축 패킷을 구성하는 과정과, 상기 헤더-압축 패킷에서 상기 UDP 체크섬을 제거하여, 상기 UDP 체크섬이 제거된 헤더-압축 패킷을 구성하는 과정과, 상기 UDP 체크섬이 제거된 헤더-압축 패킷을 무선 채널을 통해 전송하는 과정을 포함한다. 이러한 본 발명은 송수신측의 복잡도를 최소화하면서 무선링크상에서 불필요한 중복 정보의 전송을 제거한다. A method for transmitting a scheduling request in a mobile communication system and a terminal device are provided to prevent effectively that an UE retransmits unnecessarily the scheduling request/a BSR(Buffer Status Report) by not allocating corresponding radio resource to all UEs even when a RRC node receives successfully the scheduling request/the BSR from an UE within a cell. A method for transmitting a scheduling request comprises the following steps of: enabling a UE(User Equipment)(301) to compare the lowest priority notified from an RRC(Radio Resource Control) node with the highest priority of service priorities corresponding to generated data or control signaling when the data or a control signal to be transmitted from an upper layer to uplink is generated(331,332,351,371); and enabling the UE to transmit the scheduling request of requesting allocation of radio resource for the transmission of the data or control signal to the RRC node when the highest priority is higher than or the same as the lowest priority(321,371).

A method and an apparatus for retransmitting a control message in a mobile communication system are provided to prevent excessive delay caused by missing of the control message by quickly executing retransmission of the control message. A control demand message is transmitted to a receiving side(545). A timer of which a time is preset is driven at a time when transmission of the receiving side is completed(550). If the time is completed, it is determined whether a control response message for the control demand message is contained in a packet firstly received from the receiving side after the completion of the timer(560). If the control response message is not contained in the received packet, the control demand message is retransmitted(570).

An RRC(Radio Resource Control) connection setup method and an apparatus therefor are provided to allow terminals, for which a channel state is bad, to perform measurement between frequencies and between systems while waiting for receiving an RRC connection setup message, and then re-select an adjacent cell with the highest priority in consideration of their channel state and parameters of other systems. A measurement unit(721) measures signal intensity of a current cell and adjacent cells. A determining and controlling unit(711) compares the measured values with a predetermined threshold value to determine whether to measure signal intensity of the adjacent cells during a certain predetermined interval in the course of establishing an RRC connection, and controls the measurement unit(721) to measure the signal intensity of the adjacent cells during the certain interval in the course of establishing the RRC connection according to the determination result. A message setting unit(731) generates an RRC connection request message including information on the determination result. A message transmitting/receiving unit(741) transmits the generated message to an RAN(Radio Access Network) and receives a response message with respect to the RRC connection request message from the RAN.

A non-scheduling transmission method and apparatus for a packet service in a mobile communication system are provided to apply different non-scheduling grants to a packet including a full header and a packet including a compressed header in providing the packet service through the non-scheduling transmission, thereby minimizing packet transmission delay and efficiently using wireless transmission resources. A non-scheduling transmission method comprises the following steps of: transmitting packets generated for a service in a non-scheduling transmission mode by using a first packet size if a non-scheduling transmission available service starts(425,430); and transmitting the packets of the service in the non-schedule transmission mode by using a second packet size different from the first packet size if a predetermined conversion condition is satisfied during the data transmission using the first packet size(440,445).

A method and an apparatus for reporting inter-frequency measurement using an RACH(Random Access Channel) message in a mobile communication system are provided to enable a UE(User Equipment) to restrict unnecessary measurement reporting and to minimize information quality of the RACH message, thereby contribute to a reduction in uplink signaling overhead in performing inter-frequency measurement reporting on the non-used frequency cells. A method and an apparatus for reporting inter-frequency measurement using an RACH(Random Access Channel) message in a mobile communication system comprises the following several steps. An RNC(Radio Network Controller) transmits inter-frequency RACH reporting quantity and maximum number of inter-frequency reported cells as inter-frequency RACH reporting information, which is inter-frequency measurement information, through SIB11/12(202). The UE compares the measurement results measured for the cells of the non-used frequency bands with the threshold(204). The UE transmits an RACH message comprising only the inter-frequency measurement result information for the cells of the non-used frequency bands having signal quality higher than the threshold to the RNC(206).

본 발명은 이동통신 시스템에서 MCCH 서비스를 위한 제어 메시지를 효율적으로 수신하는 방법에 대한 것이다. 사용자 단말기는 하나의 제어 메시지를 포함하는 복수의 데이터 유닛들을 수신하며 상기 제어 메시지를 조립하는데 필요한 데이터 유닛들을 모두 성공적으로 수신하지 못한 경우, 다음 전송 주기에는 성공적으로 수신받지 못한 데이터 유닛만을 선별적으로 수신하여 이전 주기에 성공적으로 수신한 데이터 유닛들과 결합하여 제어 메시지를 구성한다. 이러한 본 발명은 에러률이 높은 무선 채널 환경에서의 제어 메시지의 수신 확률을 증가시키고 단말기의 동작을 최적화 시킨다.
