Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for displaying a short message of a digital portable terminal in real time is provided to display a reception of a shared short message supplied from a system in real time, and thereby maximizing an efficiency of transmitting or advertising necessary information for a system operator. CONSTITUTION: A volatile memory performs a real time processing access of storing display information. A display(60) classifies/displays message displaying windows as specific regions according to a displaying request of a received shared short message, and displays displaying information of the volatile memory. A shared short message detector(40) detects whether the received shared short message includes a shared short message identified as a reference of a pre-determined identifier. A controller(30) stores the detected shared short message in the volatile memory, and controls to display corresponding displaying information of the stored shared short message to the classified/displayed message displaying window in real time.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for searching and inputting a telephone book is provided, so that a user can conveniently search a telephone book in a cellular phone having telephone book functions, a user can input character information demanded when composing the telephone book. CONSTITUTION: A method for searching and inputting a telephone book comprises the steps of: a first step of displaying at least two name information of a pre-registered telephone book, in state of entering a telephone book searching mode after having a tab key; a second step of displaying name information of another telephone book, pre-registered whenever the tab key is sensed in the first step; a third step of displaying consonants and vowels in the predetermined order, according to the name information of the telephone book, in the state of entering the telephone book input mode; a fourth step of moving a cursor by skipping over the predetermined number of the consonants, whenever the tab key input is sensed.
