Abstract: A dishwasher is provided to sense water level precisely by installing a water level sensing device for transmitting water without fluctuation of flow rate and water pressure at a water supply device. A dishwasher comprises a tub washing dishes, a water supply device(30) supplying water into the tub, and a water level sensing device(50) sensing water level of the tub. The water supply device transmits portions of water flowing into the tub from the water supply device to the water level sensing device through a second guiding passage(42) by forming a first guiding passage(41) for guiding water to the tub and the second guiding passage for guiding water to the water level sensing device. The water supply device also flows water to the water level sensing device at a predetermined flow rate by installing a buffer space unit between the second guiding passage and the water level sensing device.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided to improve washing efficiency and reduce amount of washing water by minimizing inflow of air into the washing water when the washing water flowed into a sump is pumped by using an impeller. A dishwasher comprises a sump housing(16), an impeller, an impeller casing(24) having the impeller, a communication hole, and air inflow prevention ribs(22,23). The sump housing constitutes the exterior of a sump. The impeller installed at the upper part of the sump housing pumps out washing water. The communication hole, which is arranged at the impeller casing, guides the inflow of the washing water by the impeller.
