멀티 전송 스트림 생성 장치 및 방법 그리고 디지털 방송 송/수신 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 바람직한 제1 실시예에 따른 멀티 전송 스트림 생성 장치는, 노멀 스트림 중 일부 패킷에 적응 필드(Adaptation field)를 생성하는 어댑터부, 노멀 스트림을 인터리빙하는 인터리빙부, 복수의 터보 스트림(Turbo Stream)의 터보 코딩을 수행하는 터보 처리부, 생성된 적응 필드에 터보 코딩된 복수의 터보 스트림을 삽입하여 멀티 전송 스트림(Multi Transport Stream)을 생성하는 스터퍼부, 및 생성된 멀티 전송 스트림을 디인터리빙하는 디인터리빙부를 포함한다. 이에 의해, 보다 용이하게 복수의 터보 스트림을 송신할 수 있다. 수신 성능이 향상된 디지털 방송 송수신 시스템 및 그의 신호처리방법이 개시된다. 본 디지털 방송 송신기는, 소정의 위치에 스터프 바이트(Stuff byte)가 삽입되어 있는 전송 스트림을 랜덤화하는 랜덤화부; 랜덤화부에서 출력된 데이터에 포함되어 있는 스터프 바이트를 소정의 기지(Known) 데이터로 대체하는 스터프 바이트 교환부; 스터프 바이트 교환부에서 출력된 데이터에 대해 RS 인코딩을 수행하는 RS 인코딩부; RS 인코딩부에서 출력된 데이터에 대해 인터리빙을 수행하는 인터리빙부; 인터리빙부에서 출력된 데이터에 대해 트렐리스 인코딩을 수행하는 트렐리스 인코딩부; RS 인코딩부에서 출력된 데이터와 트렐리스 인코딩부에서 출력된 데이터에 기초하여 패리티를 생성하고 생성된 패리티를 상기 트렐리스 인코딩부로 입력하는 RS 패리티 생성부; 및 트렐리스 인코딩부에서 출력된 데이터에 대해 변조를 수행하고 RF 업컨버팅을 수행하는 변조 및 RF부를 포함한다. 따라서, 수신측에서 수신된 신호로부터 기지데이터를 검출하여 동기 및 등화에 사용함으로써 열악한 멀티패스 채널에서 디지털 방송 수신 성능이 향상될 수 있다. PURPOSE: An ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) mobile/handheld RFP A-VSB(Advanced VSB System) MCAST(Mobile Broadcasting) response, and A-VSB physical and link layers with a single frequency network are provided to improve reception of an 8-VSB service in a mobile/handheld operation mode by encoding signaling information in an RS encoder, thereby randomizing a stream including the signaling information in a randomizer. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting transmitter includes an MUX(Multiplexer) and an exciter. The MUX forms the stream. The stream includes a normal data stream and a turbo data stream. The exciter encodes the stream. The exciter transmits the encoded stream. One burst includes data of N (52 bytes x NTP x 2). The NTP is the number of MCAST packets per package. Each data is rotated for burst transmission.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcast receiver and a processing method are provided to variously subdivide a data grade during generating a multiple transmission stream. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(110) detects a data bit within a stream transmitted. The detection unit provides the detected data bit to an encoder unit(120). The encoder unit outputs two encoding value in each data bit by encoding the data bit. A stream configuration part unit(130) constitutes stream by using an output of the encoder unit.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver having improved receiving performance and a signal processing method thereof are provided to improve the receiving performance by detecting a transmission signal added with known data. CONSTITUTION: A demodulation unit(1510) receives and demodulates a stream including known data. An equalization unit(1520) equalizes the demodulated stream. The stream is transmitted from a digital broadcasting transmitter. The digital broadcasting transmitter includes a RS(Reed-Solomon) encoder. If at least a part of an initialization byte is replaced with a new value, the RS encoder performs RS encoding of the part, replaced with the new value, and corrects parity.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver and a stream processing method thereof are provided to process a turbo stream in parallel to support processing about a multi turbo stream, thereby improving processing speed about a turbo stream. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver includes a transport stream configuration unit(300) and a randomization unit(150). The transport stream configuration unit prepares a space within a normal stream. A robust turbo stream is inserted into the transport stream configuration unit. The transport stream configuration unit configures a transport stream. The randomization unit randomizes the transport stream. The transport stream is repetitively inserted according to a predetermined pattern in the transport stream.

A device and a method for comprising a generation matrix for linear block coding and a coding device and a decoding device using the generation matrix are provided to recover the data by performing the linear block coding of the message in a packet unit. The number of message packet nodes and codeword packet nodes for comprising a generation matrix are selected(S110). If the number of nodes is chosen, the number of relation lines connected to each codeword packet node is set up(S120). The number of relation line connected to the message packet nodes is set up(S130). The relation line which is set up in each code word packet node and the relation line which is set up in each message packet node are connected in a regular order(S140). According to the connection relation between the code word packet node and the message packet node, the generating matrix is comprised(S150).

A system for transmitting/receiving AVSB(Advanced Vestigial Side Band) data and a processing method thereof are provided to effectively utilize an option field, especially a private data entry region. A system for transmitting/receiving AVSB data includes adapter unit(110), a sputter unit(120), a randomization unit(130), a de-randomization unit(140), and an SRS(Supplementary Reference Signal) insertion unit(150). The adapter unit receives a normal transmission stream from a service mutiplexer(163). The randomization unit randomizes the stream outputted from the adapter unit to provide the randomized stream to the sputter unit. The sputter unit receives a turbo stream from a multi-stream interleaver(187) to write the turbo stream in a private data entry region. The de-randomization unit de-randomizes the AVSB data inserted from the sputter unit. The SRS insertion unit inserts an SRS into a front part in the private data entry region as the AVSB data when receiving the de-randomized stream.

A multi-TS generating apparatus and a method thereof, and a digital broadcasting transceiver and a method thereof are provided to perform the turbo coding of turbo stream in the multi-TS generating apparatus of a studio terminal, thereby obtaining a complete packet configuration during demodulation in a receiver and managing a transmission system easily. An adaptor unit(110) generates an adaptive field in partial packets of normal stream. An interleaving unit(140) performs the interleaving of the normal stream. A turbo processing unit(150) performs the turbo coding of plural turbo streams. A stuffer unit(160) inserts the plural turbo-coded turbo streams to the generated adaptive field to generate multi-TS(Transport Stream). A deinterleaving unit(170) performs the deinterleaving of the generated multi-TS. A randomizing unit(120) performs the randomization of the normal stream in which the adaptive field is generated. A parity area generator(130) generates a parity area for the randomized normal stream. A parity area removing unit(180) removes the parity area from the multi-TS. A derandomizing unit(190) performs the derandomization of the multi-TS from which the parity area is removed.
