Abstract: There are provided a system and method for providing information using a spoken dialogue interface. The system includes a speech recognizer for transforming voice signals into sentences; a sentence analyzer for analyzing the sentences by their structural elements; a dialogue manager for extracting information on speech acts or intentions from the structural elements, and generating information on system's speech acts or intentions for a response to the extracted information on speech acts or intentions; a sentence generator for generating sentences based on the information on the system's speech acts or intentions for the response; a speech synthesizer for synthesizing the generated sentences into voices; an information extractor for extracting information required for the response from the Internet in real time; and a user modeling means for analyzing and classifying users' tendencies. Information demanded by a user can be detected in real time and provided through a voice interface with versatile and familiar dialogues based on the user's tendencies.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing information by voice conversation interface are provided to search information desired by a user in real time and supply various and friendly conversation via a voice interface according to the taste of the user, by avoiding the repetition of same conversation through the conversation history of the user. CONSTITUTION: A device for providing information by voice conversation interface includes a voice recognition part(110) for receiving voice signals to recognize sound and converting the voice signals to sentences, a conversation management part(130), an information extracting part(140), a user modelling part(150), and a sentence generating part(160). The conversation management part is formed of an intension analyzing part(131) and an intension generating part(133), and carries out the analyzation on the intension of the voice signals of a user and the generation of the intension for the response to the user. The information extracting part searches online/offline information for any query information input of the user. The user modelling part analyzes the propensity of the user by the input information on the user conversation. The sentence generating part carries out the conversion from the intension information of the user to sentences. A sentence synthesizing part(171) synthesizes and outputs voice from the input sentences.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method of transmitting E-mail in a communication terminal is provided to automatically search an E-mail address when a user inputs at least one piece of information on a receiver, thereby quickly transmitting E-mail without remembering another E-mail address. CONSTITUTION: An E-mail screen is displayed on a display(300). A CPU checks an E-mail transmission request of a user(302), and decides whether inputted information of a receiving address is in E-mail address type(304). If not, the CPU searches an address book information database of a memory(308). The CPU decides whether an E-mail address mapped to the inputted information exists in the database(310). If not, the CPU decides whether the inputted information is a telephone number(314). If a mapped telephone number exists, the CPU requests an E-mail server to transmit E-mail address information(316). The CPU decides whether the E-mail address information is received(318). If so, the CPU transmits E-mail by setting the E-mail address to a receiving E-mail address(322). The CPU registers the E-mail address information in the address book information database(324).
