Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for servicing geographical information is provided to perceive a location of an MS(Mobile Station) by a control procedure between a base station and the MS without a location seeking operation or a calculation procedure, and to supply corresponding geographical information. CONSTITUTION: An MS(Mobile Station)(310) transmits service calling messages, and displays received geographical information. Base stations(322,324,326) receive the service calling messages. An MTSC(Mobile Telephone Switching Center)(330) receives the service calling messages from the base stations(322,324,326), and performs a serial of calling processes to simultaneously register a classification number and a location of the MS(310). The MTSC(330) receives a call type, which is in accord with a call type set up as a geographical information service, and extracts corresponding base station location information from the calling messages. A processor(350) converts the extracted base station location information into a retrieval index of the geographical information, and transmits the geographical information to the MS(310).
