Abstract:
수신 성능이 향상된 디지털 방송 송수신 시스템 및 그의 신호처리방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 디지털 방송 송신기는, 소정의 위치에 널 바이트(Null byte)가 삽입된 데이터 스트림을 입력받아 랜덤화하는 랜덤화부, 랜덤화된 데이터 스트림 중 널 바이트가 삽입된 위치에 소정의 기지데이터를 삽입하여 형성된 데이터 스트림을 출력하는 다중화부, 다중화부에서 출력된 데이터 스트림을 인코딩하는 인코딩부 및 인코딩된 데이터를 변조하고 RF 변환하여 전송하는 변조 및 RF부를 포함한다. 따라서, 수신측에서 수신된 신호로부터 기지데이터를 검출하여 동기 및 등화에 사용함으로써 열악한 멀티패스 채널에서 디지털 방송 수신 성능이 향상될 수 있다.

PURPOSE: An ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) mobile/handheld RFP A-VSB(Advanced VSB System) MCAST(Mobile Broadcasting) response, and A-VSB physical and link layers with a single frequency network are provided to improve reception of an 8-VSB service in a mobile/handheld operation mode by encoding signaling information in an RS encoder, thereby randomizing a stream including the signaling information in a randomizer. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting transmitter includes an MUX(Multiplexer) and an exciter. The MUX forms the stream. The stream includes a normal data stream and a turbo data stream. The exciter encodes the stream. The exciter transmits the encoded stream. One burst includes data of N (52 bytes x NTP x 2). The NTP is the number of MCAST packets per package. Each data is rotated for burst transmission.

PURPOSE: An OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmitter, a receiver, a receiving module and a transceiving method thereof are provided to proceed synchronization/channel estimation about a received OFDM signal in the OFDM receiver more accurately by inserting Pseudo Noise sequence information with a size of 511 symbol or 1023 symbol into an OFDM symbol in the receiving side. CONSTITUTION: An FEC(Forward Error Correction) coding unit(100) proceeds coding about an input data. An IDFT(Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform)(200) converts the coded data into an OFDM symbol. A PN(Pseudo Noise sequence) insertion unit(400) inserts PN sequence into the OFDM symbol. The PN sequence has at least 511 symbol size. A pulse forming unit(500) proceeds pulse forming filtering about the OFDM symbol. An RF(Radio Frequency) up-conversion part(600) converts changes the OFDM symbol into an RF signal.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcast receiver and a processing method are provided to variously subdivide a data grade during generating a multiple transmission stream. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(110) detects a data bit within a stream transmitted. The detection unit provides the detected data bit to an encoder unit(120). The encoder unit outputs two encoding value in each data bit by encoding the data bit. A stream configuration part unit(130) constitutes stream by using an output of the encoder unit.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver having improved receiving performance and a signal processing method thereof are provided to improve the receiving performance by detecting a transmission signal added with known data. CONSTITUTION: A demodulation unit(1510) receives and demodulates a stream including known data. An equalization unit(1520) equalizes the demodulated stream. The stream is transmitted from a digital broadcasting transmitter. The digital broadcasting transmitter includes a RS(Reed-Solomon) encoder. If at least a part of an initialization byte is replaced with a new value, the RS encoder performs RS encoding of the part, replaced with the new value, and corrects parity.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver and a stream processing method thereof are provided to process a turbo stream in parallel to support processing about a multi turbo stream, thereby improving processing speed about a turbo stream. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver includes a transport stream configuration unit(300) and a randomization unit(150). The transport stream configuration unit prepares a space within a normal stream. A robust turbo stream is inserted into the transport stream configuration unit. The transport stream configuration unit configures a transport stream. The randomization unit randomizes the transport stream. The transport stream is repetitively inserted according to a predetermined pattern in the transport stream.

An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving a digital broadcast are provided to allow a viewer in a good channel environment to watch a quality digital broadcast by receiving both a main stream and a sub-stream. A layer type encoding unit(110) hierarchically encodes data to output a main stream and a sub-stream. A main stream coding unit(120) generates a parity with respect to the main stream. A stream adding unit(130) adds the parity-generated main stream to the sub-stream. A transmitting unit(160) transmits the main stream-added sub-stream. The stream adding unit adds the coded main stream to an adaptation field of the sub-stream. The stream adding unit adds the coded main stream to a private data region of the sub-stream. An FEC(Forward Error Correction) coding unit(140) performs FEC coding on the main stream-added sub-stream. A modulation unit(150) modulates the coded stream.

A trellis encoder for encoding a dual transport stream is provided to perform initialization in suitable timing and perform the trellis encoding of the transport stream. The first multiplexer(111) selectively outputs one of the first bit in a transport stream and a storing value stored in the first memory(115) according to an external control signal. The first adder(113) adds the output value outputted from the first multiplexer and the storing value stored in the first memory, and stores the added result value in the first memory. The second multiplexer(112) selectively outputs one of the second bit in the transport stream and a storing value stored in the second memory(116) according to the external control signal. The second adder(114) adds the output value of the second multiplexer and the storing value stored in the second memory, and stores the added result value in the third memory(117).
