Abstract: PURPOSE: A hinge device of a portable terminal using magnetism is provided to supply an opening/closing force of a folder by using permanent magnets, thereby miniaturizing a hinge module and improving assembly and production characteristics by deleting the number of parts. CONSTITUTION: A hinge module is composed of a fixing housing(310) and a driving shaft(320) received to the fixing housing(310) in length direction. Both ends of the fixing housing(310) are opened, and magnets(312) are formed in belt shape to length direction. The magnets(312) are permanent magnets, having different polarity. The driving shaft(320) comprises as follows. The first part(321) is coupled with a side hinge arm. The second part(324) is inserted into the fixing housing(310). A hooking part(322) is located between the first and the second parts(321,324). The second part(324) is cylinder-shaped, and extends magnets(323) in length direction. The magnets(323) of the second part(324) are permanent magnets, and correspond to the number of the magnets(312) of the fixing housing(310).
