Abstract: A drum type washing machine is provided to improve the use environment of a user and reduce stench by preventing the impurities from being piled and the packing member from being contaminated/discolored. A drum type washing machine comprises a body formed with an inlet hole(11); a tub formed with an opening part(21); and a packing member(40) arranged to keep airtightness between the opening part of the tub and the inlet hole. The packing member is formed with a recess(44) easily removing impurities flowed in a curved part(41). The packing member contains an adhesion part(43) closely contacted with the door, and a sealing part(42) connected from the adhesion part to the opening part of the tub. The curved part is formed between the adhesion part and the sealing part. The recess is formed at the adhesion part.

Abstract: 본 발명은 드럼 내에 직접 급수하여 세탁에 소비되는 세탁수를 절약하도록 하고, 세탁 행정 시에 세탁수가 유출되는 일 없이 탈수 행정 시에만 세탁수가 원활히 배수될 수 있도록 한 드럼 세탁기를 개시한다. 이를 위해 본 발명은 드럼이 특정 회전 속도 이상으로 회전할 때에만 원심력에 의해 드럼의 탈수구가 개방되도록 하는 개폐장치를 구비한다. 개폐장치는 드럼의 탈수구를 개폐하는 개폐부재와 개폐부재에 탄성력을 가하여 드럼의 회전에 의하여 개폐부재에 작용하는 원심력의 크기에 따라 드럼의 탈수구가 개폐되도록 하는 탄성부재를 구비한다. 탄성부재는 드럼의 외주면을 감아 드럼의 중심 방향으로 탄성력을 가하는 탄성밴드로 구성될 수 있고, 개폐부재는 구형체로 마련되어 탈수구와 탄성밴드 사이에 배치될 수 있다. 이와 같은 구성에 의해 본 발명은 세탁수의 소비를 현저히 감소시키고, 드럼에 직접 세탁수를 공급하여 세탁을 할 때 야기되는 세탁수 유출 또는 배수에 관한 문제를 근본적으로 해결할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

Abstract: A drum type washing machine with water pockets is provided to improve the laundry efficiency through the repeated operation of lifting and dropping water by installing plural water pockets at the back of a rotary drum. A drum type washing machine with water pockets comprises: a water tank containing water; a rotary drum(20) rotatably installed in the water tank; and a water lifting device(40) formed with plural water pockets(43) mounted in the rotary direction at a rear surface unit inside the rotary drum so as to lift and drop water. The water pockets are composed of a water inlet(44) formed at an edge; a water discharge outlet(45) formed closer to the center of the rotary drum than the water inlet. The water inlet is formed in the direction where the rotary drum rotates in order to facilitate the intake of water into the water pocket. The width of the water pocket gets wider as going outside from the center of the rotary drum, and the water pocket is formed like a whirl shape which curves in the rotary direction of the rotary drum.
