PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for balanced power amplification are provided to offer a 90-degree hybrid splitter and a 90-degree hybrid combiner using at least one quarter-wave transmission line, thereby improving the efficiency of wireless power transmission. CONSTITUTION: An amplifier (600) comprises a 90-degree hybrid splitter (620), a first power amplifier (PA) (630), a second PA (640), and a 90-degree hybrid combiner (650). The 90-degree hybrid splitter divides an input signal into a first PA input signal and a second PA input signal which have 90-degree phase difference. The first PA amplifies the first PA input signal to generate a first PA output signal. The second PA amplifies the second PA input signal to generate a second PA output signal.
