본 명세서는 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 송신하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 컨텐츠를 생성하는 동작; 상기 컨텐츠의 전체 소비에 필요한 제1 계산량 표현 정보 및 상기 컨텐츠의 세그먼트 소비에 필요한 제2 계산량 표현 정보 중 적어도 하나를 생성하는 동작; 및 상기 제1 계산량 표현 정보 및 상기 제2 계산량 표현 정보 중 적어도 하나와 상기 생성된 컨텐츠를 송신하는 동작을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 송신 방법을 제공한다.

본 발명은 디지털 비디오 방송(DVB: Digital Video Broadcasting) 시스템에서 방송 서비스를 송신하는 방법에 있어서, DVB GSE(Generic Stream Encapsulation)를 사용할 경우, MMT(MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) Media Transport) 패키지의 어셋의 미디어 전송 특성을 분석하고, 상기 미디어 전송 특성을 기반으로 상기 DVB GSE를 설정하고, 인터넷 프로토콜(IP: Internet Protocol) 사용 여부에 따라 MMT 패킷을 변환하고, 변환된 패킷을 상기 DVB GSE를 사용하여 전송한다.

The present invention relates to a multimedia system and, especially, to a method and a device for transmitting and receiving an adaptive media structure in the multimedia system. The present invention relates to a packet configuration method in a communication system. The packet configuration method according to one implementation example of the present invention comprises the following steps: a step of generating control information related to forward error correction (FEC), processing source payloads which are generated by adding a header composed of a common header and an optional header to data which is outputted from an application layer, generating an information block composed of information payloads, generating parity payloads by applying FEC codes to the information block, and generating FEC header information for source payloads and FEC header information for parity payloads based on the entire or a part of the generated FEC control information; a step of generating an FEC packet for source payloads by combining the FEC header information for source payloads with a source payload, and generating an FEC packet for parity payloads by combining one or more of the generated parity payloads with common header information and the FEC header information for parity payloads; and a step of transmitting the generated FEC packets.

The present invention provides a method and device for playing video data. The method according to the present invention comprises the processes of storing a received video file in a storing format when receiving the video file, extracting video data encoded from the stored video file and video data attribute information including location information of sample allowing a time hierarchical approach to the video file, extracting samples corresponding to a basic time hierarchy and samples corresponding to an extended time hierarchy after the corresponding sample based on the location information of sample allowing the time hierarchical approach and restoring the extracted samples to be played.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a packet in a broadcasting system are provided to allocate a padding size field by using padding octets, thereby increasing transmission efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A packet generation unit sets predetermined bits in a header (201) of a packet as a padding indication field (207) presenting whether the packet is padded. The packet generation unit generates the packet by allocating a padding size field (209) to the last octet of padding octets (205). A transmission unit transmits the generated packet. The padding size shows that there exists an additional padding size field in the padding octets. The padding size field is allocated variably depending on the number of the padding octets.

PURPOSE: A device for transmitting multimedia data in a complex network, and a method thereof are provided to transmit multimedia data by generating MMT(MPEG Media Transport) TP(Transport Pack) data in the network. CONSTITUTION: A payload unit includes a first payload(150) and a second payload(160). The first payload transmits first data played by the time flow. The second payload transmits data except for the first data. A packet unit(130) composes one or both of the first and second payloads as a packet. The packet unit generates packet information.

PURPOSE: A method for interlinking media data of DASH standards with an MMT(MPEG Media Transport) transmission system and a device thereof are provided to form complex media contents including the media data of DASH standards in a multimedia broadcasting system of MMT standards by substituting MMT standard data for the DASH standards. CONSTITUTION: An interlinking device analyzes media data of DASH standards. The interlinking device substitutes the media data for MMT transmission standards. The interlinking device generates a container and an identifier of the MMT transmission standards by using the substituted media.

PURPOSE: A method for forming contents in a broadcasting system and a device is provided to confirm a presentation method, a decoding processing method, and a kind of a corresponding package through the parsing of information about assets by inserting the information into a package. CONSTITUTION: A content composition device combines plural assets with a package. The assets are transmitted from an upper layer. The assets are composed of plural contents. The content composition device adds setting information for multiplexing the assets to the package. The content composition device delivers the package to a lower layer. The setting information includes a list of the assets, composition information, and a transport characteristic.
