PURPOSE: A location estimation method of terminal and apparatus thereof are provided to receive a location base service in the downtown area through a PRS reception apparatus without having a GPS reception apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A candidate set list selected from E- SMLC(Evolved-Serving Mobile Location Center)(100) is received and determines a candidate location. A terminal(130) receives resource allocation information from a serving base station(120c) of a determined candidate location and shares with an uplink signal. Each base station including the serving base station receives the uplink signal through a relay. Received uplink signals are combined. The uplink signal of a target terminal determines a signal from a combining result. The location of the terminal is examined by a determined result.

PURPOSE: A handover method in wireless communication system and apparatus thereof are provided to improve service quality in a wireless communication system and by reducing occurrence frequency of user equipment while performing hand over. CONSTITUTION: Interference intensity information of an uplink signal and interference increase and decrease information of the uplink signal are received. The interference intensity of the uplink signal is indicated to over critical value during preset period in an adjacent base station. A candidate base station is determined base on the interference intensity information. In case the candidate base station exists, first increase and decrease interference information is used from the candidate base station. A first user terminal(500) is provided a service from the candidate base station within the cell and a different base station. The first user terminal existence is determined.

PURPOSE: A terminal location detection method and apparatus in a communication system are provided to detect a terminal location placed in a corresponding remote radio head(RRH) within a cell where a plurality of RRHs is connected to a base station in order to expand a service coverage area, thereby enabling to detect the corresponding terminal location more precisely. CONSTITUTION: A terminal location detection method in a communication system is comprised of following procedures. Signal information transmitted from each small base station connected to a base station(200) with a cable is received. A location mapping table of terminals located in a service area of the base station is generated using the transmitted signal information(216). The terminal located at each small base station is identified using the location mapping table.

PURPOSE: A device and a method for obtaining neighbor BS information in a wireless communication system are provided to minimize an L2 scanning interval for obtaining adjacent base station information from a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal determines whether to execute L2 scanning in consideration of an L1 scanning result(301). The terminal detects a P-SFH(Primary-Super Frame Header) of a neighbor BS(Base Station) through the L2 scanning(303). The terminal checks transmission timing of SFH for transmitting SPx through an SFN(Super Frame Number) of the neighbor BS(305). The terminal selectively obtains L2 information of the neighbor BS through the L2 scanning for the neighbor BS at only the transmission timing of the SFH(307).

PURPOSE: A device and a method for confirming neighbor BS information in a wireless communication system are provided to enable a terminal to efficiently recognize a femto base station. CONSTITUTION: A controller(807) controls operating frequency band conversion of a receiving unit for L1 and L2 scanning. The controller controls the L1 scanning according to an L1 scanning pattern. The controller controls the L2 scanning by an L2 scanning controller(809). The L2 scanning controller determines whether to perform the L2 scanning on at least one preamble detected through the L1 scanning in consideration of L1 information obtained through the L1 scanning.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting an interworking signal in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce overhead due to adjacent cell information transmission. CONSTITUTION: A femto base station(1204) transmits an interworking signal through the operating frequency of a macro base station(1202). The terminal gets information for the handover to the femto base station. The terminal decides to begin handover. The terminal transmits a handover request signal to the macro base station using identification information of the target femto base station.

PURPOSE: A signal detection device based on lattice reduction and a method thereof for supporting a different decoding method by each stream are provided to increase the performance of the system with low complexity. CONSTITUTION: A signal detection device based on lattice reduction and a method thereof for supporting a different decoding method by each stream include a plurality of operators, a plurality of encoders(208-1~208-N) and a passing unit. A plurality of operators computes the symbol value by a soft module. The operator generates stream soft decision values. The inner decoder decodes stream soft decision values according to the decoding method. The inner decoder generates the LLR values of the coding words according to the stream coded system.
