Abstract: PURPOSE: An animal models for chronic tympanic membrane perforations is provided to screen a medicine for chronic tympanic membrane perforations and an otitis media. CONSTITUTION: The device is comprised of steps: making an ear drum damaged by heat in punching the ear drum of an animal; processing mitomycin on the punched region; and processing dexmethasone on the processed era drum.
