Abstract:
PURPOSE: A growing method of a crystal of a polyene compound is provided to quickly form a polyene compound monocrystal within short time. CONSTITUTION: A crystal-growing method of a polyene compound comprises a step of growing crystal of a polyene compound including an electron donor and electron receptor represented by chemical formula 1, under the presence of inorganic acid additives. In chemical formula 1, n is an integer from 1-4; each of R1, R2, and R3 is selected from an aliphatic or aromatic group which can be functionalized by at least one functional group selected from H, D,-OH, ester, C1-4 alkyl group, -NH2, -NHR4, -NR5R6, a functional group of a chemical formula 1-a, hydroxy, ether, ester, amino, silyl, and siloxy; and m is an integer from 3-8.

PURPOSE: A quinolinium single crystal for nonlinear optics is provided to ensure macroscopic nonlinear properties and excellent tera hertz generation efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A quinolinium single crystal for nonlinear optics contains a quinolinium derivative of chemical formula 1 or 2 for a tera hertz(Thz) wave light source. In chemical formulas 1 and 2, R1-R7 are independently selected among hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen, pseudohalogen, formyl, carboxyl, alkyl, long chain alkyl, alkoxy, long chain alkoxy, cycloalkyl, haloalkyl, aryl, arylene, haloaryl, heteroaryl, heteroarylene, heterocycloalkylene, heterocycloalkyl, haloheteroaryl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkynyl, keto, ketoaryl, haloketoaryl, ketoheteroaryl, ketoalkyl, haloketoalkyl, ketoalkenyl, haloketoalkenyl, phosphoalkyl, phosphonate, phosphate, phosphine, phosphine oxide, phosphoryl, phosphoaryl, sulfonyl, sulfoalkyl, sulfoarenyl, sulfonate, sulfate, sulfone, amine, polyether, silylalkyl, or silylalkyloxy.

PURPOSE: A non-linear optical crystal containing cationic N-benzyl stilbazolium and anion is provided to overcome dipole-dipole interaction. CONSTITUTION: A non-linear optical crystal contains N-benzyl stilbazolium of chemical formula 1 and anion. In chemical formula 1, R1-R5 are independently hydrogen, methyl, or ethyl. The anion includes HSO^4-, PF^6-, BF^4-, BPh^4-, H_2PO^4- or SO^3-. The anion containing SO^3- is denoted by chemical formula 2.
