    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is an organic phosphor based on branched alpha-cyanostilbene for ELD, which enables color tuning and has the light emission in the solid state higher than in the liquid state. CONSTITUTION: The alpha-cyanostilbene compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 is a group selected from the following formulas; and each of R2 and R3 is a C1-C6 alkyl, a C1-C6 alkoxy, a substituted or non-substituted amino group, a substituted or non-substituted aryl group, or a substituted or non-substituted heterocyclic group, in which the substituted or non-substituted aryl group or the substituted or non-substituted heterocyclic group can be condensed with the corresponding benzene ring at any position of the benzene ring.
