    Abstract: PURPOSE: A laser doppler velocimeter and measuring error removing method according to reflectivity change of steel plate using the same is provided to measure speed of steel plate stably by outputting signal of proper level without changing installation condition of laser doppler velocimeter. CONSTITUTION: A low frequency optical detector(9) detects lights reflected after scanning and abstracting separately one of two beam split at an acousto-optic shifter(2) using a beam splitter(7) and a mirror(8). Output of the low frequency optical detector(9) is proportional to reflectivity of steel plate(6). Output of the low frequency optical detector(9) is input to a variable RF voltage supplier(10) and controls output voltage of RF voltage supplier(10). Output signal of an optical detector(5) is the largest because two laser beam(F1,F2) to be used as speed measurement has the best interface efficiency when strength ratio is same. If the output of low frequency optical detector(9) is low, the controller increases the output voltage of a variable RF voltage supplier(10) and make the rate of the laser beam same. If not, the controller make the rate of the laser beam different.
