CONSTITUTION: A surface sensor device using wavelength conversion waveguide comprises a pumping light source(100), a wavelength conversion element(200), a fluid channel part, a band passage filter(300) and a photo diode(400). The pumping light source radiates specific wave into the wavelength conversion element. The wavelength conversion element is composed of a periodically polarization-inversed QPM optical waveguide. The band passage filter eliminates the wavelength components from the pumping light source.

Abstract: A cell observation system is provided to manage record of a cell automatically by measuring physical characteristics such as moving path, speed and quantity change and the change amount thereof and storing them automatically, be easy to observe a plurality of cells at the same time, and provide reliable record data of the cell. A cell observation system comprises: an image portion(110) which acquires a cell image; a cell recognition portion(120) which recognizes a cell from the cell image; a controlling portion(130) which controls the cell recognition portion; a measurement portion(140) which measures physical characteristics of the recognized cell; an output portion(150) which outputs the change amount of the result value measured from the measurement portion; a storage portion(170) which stores information acquired from the image portion, measurement portion and output portion and setting values; and a display portion(160) which displays the acquired information from the image portion, measurement portion and output portion on a screen. A method for deriving the cell observation system comprises the steps of: (a) recognizing the existence of a cell and a number of the cell from an acquired cell image; (b) providing a unique identification factor to the cell; (c) measuring physical characteristics of the cell; and (d) repeating the step(c) when a set-up time is less than an elapsed time and outputting the physical characteristics and change amount when the set-up time is more than the elapsed time. Further, the image portion comprises an image obtaining unit for obtain the image of the cell and an image editing unit for editing the image of the cell.

Abstract: An apparatus for incubating cells and measuring chemotaxis thereof is provided to be easy to incubate and measure the cells at the same time, monitor moving path of the cells in real time, and easily control surrounding environment during the cell incubation using a sensor inserted into a well. An apparatus for incubating cells and measuring chemotaxis thereof(300) comprises: a first well(310) which is formed on a transparent substrate(340) and receives a cell culture solution; a second well(320) which is formed on the substrate with spaced apart from the first well and receives a cell culture solution and a cell reaction material; a channel(330) which connects the first and second wells; and at least one sensor which is inserted into the first well or the second well to detect culturing environment or the cell culturing solution. The apparatus further comprises: an inlet which is formed on one side of the first well for perfusion of the culture solution; an outlet(370) which is formed on one side of the second well for discharging the culture solution and the cell reaction material; and a structure material(350) formed on the substrate and including the first well, the second well and the channel.
