PURPOSE: An apparatus for estimating the position of a compressor motor is provided to improve the reliability and efficiency of motor control by detecting the position of a rotor according to the principle of a magnetic filed by winding a wire around a conductor. CONSTITUTION: A rotor is rotatably installed in a stator. A plurality of magnets(20) are arranged outside the rotor to have an alternative polarity. A detection conductor(30) is formed on the outer surface of the rotor. An electromotive force detector(40) extracts the electromotive force induced through a coil wound around the conductor. A controller(50) determines the position of the rotor according to the electromotive force detected by the electromotive force detector.

The present invention relates to a permanent magnet motor. Disclosed are a method and a system for detecting faults in the serial coil type permanent magnet motor making a feature of comprising: a step of driving a serial type coil motor based on the defined current order value; a step of detecting the current vector of the motor; a step of calculating a current compensation value for removing the negative sequence component of the motor based on the current vector; a step of providing the current compensation value to a negative sequence current control device and calculating the output of the negative sequence current control device, a fault degree, and a fault image of the serial coil type motor using a fault model in which the inducement magnetic flux change amount of other slots on the specific image and the specific slot of the serial coil type motor; and a step of applying the current indication value in which the calculated fault image and fault degree are applied.
