PURPOSE: A photo-sensitive resin composition for a color filter and the color filter using the same are provided to ensure the superior contrast ratio of the color filter by including a pre-determined phthalocyanine-based blue pigment. CONSTITUTION: A photo-sensitive resin composition includes a dye containing either of compounds represented by chemical formula 1 or chemical formula 2, a phthalocyanine-based blue pigment, an acryl-based binder resin, a photopolymerizable monomer or an oligomer, a photo initiator, and a solvent. The content of the dye is in a range between 10 and 30 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the phthalocyanine-based blue pigment. In chemical formula 1, R1 to R10, X1, and Y1 are respectively hydrogen atoms, substituted or non-substituted C1-12 linear or branched alkyl groups, substituted or non-substituted C6-14 aryl groups, substituted or non-substituted C3-20 cycloalkyl groups, halogen atoms, -OH, -OR31, -SO_3H, -SO_3R32, -SO_2NHR33, -SO_2NR34R35, -SO_3M, -CO_2H, -CO_2R36, -NHR37, or -NR38R39; R31 to R39 are respectively substituted or non-substituted C1-12 linear or branched alkyl groups, substituted or non-substituted C6-14 aryl groups, substituted or non-substituted C3-20 cycloalkyl groups, or halogen atoms; M is Na or K; adjacent R1-R10 are selectively form saturated or non-saturated carbon rings; and Z1 anion is a halogen anion or the anion of an organic acid.
