Abstract: PURPOSE: An A4 scanner with an A3 sheet scanning function and a scanning method thereof are provided to selectively divide a copy closely attached to a flat glass and scan the divided copies. CONSTITUTION: A scanning unit(200) divides a copy with a capacity exceeding the capacity of a scan sensor(210) to scan. An image processing unit(300) processes an image. Two images divided and scanned through the scanning unit are combined through the image processing. A transfer roller of a transfer roller member(221) transfers a fed copy to a copy exposure hole or a copy insertion hole.
