    Abstract: This alloy is manufactured by (1) pre-manufacturing rare earth- iron alloy bath, which has more content of iron than rare earth- iron alloy to be made, from rare earth fluoride at the bottom of iron made crucible by direct alloying method, (2) mixing iron powder, rare earth oxide, calcium chloride, and metallic calcium, which is excess amount of 25-30 wt.% than theoretical amount of rare earth oxide nessary to reduce, (3) charging and melt heating the above mixture at 950-1,050 deg.C, (4) agitating it firstly at 450-600 rpm for 2 hrs., then secondly at 50-70 rpm for 1 hr., (5) dissolving the above mixture in the rare earth-iron oxide bath reduced by the metallic calcium. In (2), the mixture is mixed to make the amount of calcium chloride 5-6.5 times than the amount of calcium oxide generated while reducing rare earth oxide compeletly.
