표준 TV(SDTV) 뿐만 아니라 고선명 TV(HDTV)의 각 분할화면에 대한 헤더 및 확장 부호를 발생하고, 메모리를 사용하여 부호화에 필요한 많은 데이터를 순차적으로 입력함으로써 입력데이터의 비트수를 최소화 하고자 함.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
PES 헤더, 캡션데이터 및 이들을 제외한 헤더 및 확장부호를 생성하여 부호화된 데이타, 유효길이, 유효시간구간과 움직임벡터 부호를 출력하는 PES 시퀀스 캡션 헤드 처리부와 외부로부터 매크로블럭 퀀트와 IBP 모드를 입력받아 슬라이스 헤더와 유효길이, 유효시간구간신호를 생성하는 슬라이스 헤드 처리부, 및 PES 기퀀스 캡션 헤드 처리부의 출력과 슬라이스 헤드 처리부의 출력을 다중화하는 수단을 구비함.

가변길이 부호화장치에 이용됨.

Abstract: The device for multiplexing and demultiplexing the NTSC signal to DS3 signal in the CATV processes the data stably. The device consists of a) the multiplexer(101) which outputs the DS3 signal according to a frame structure with main clock and image clock or generates the alarm signals when detecting functional fault, b) the demultiplexer(102) which demultiplexes the compressed image signal and voice signal after detecting the DS3 signal(104) that includes both signal, and c) the monitor controller(103) which inputs demultiplex signal(106) to demultiplexer using monitor signal(107) by selecting one of DS3 signal from multiplexer and DS3 signal(105) from external.

Abstract: A transmission apparatus of a digital cablecast system is disclosed. The transmission apparatus of the digital cablecast system comprises: a system clock generator(5) for generating a system clock by extracting a color subcarrier from a composite video signal; an video signal analog/digital converter(4) for converting the composite video signal to a digital signal in response to the system clock; an audio signal analog/digital converter(6) for sampling an audio signal in reponse to an audio sampling clock and converting the audio signal to the digital signal; a digital video signal compressor(7) for compressing the dital video signal by a differential pulse code modulation(DPCM); and a digital signal3(DS3) multiplexer(9) for transmitting the audio sampling clock to the audio signal analog/digital converter(6) and transmitting a DS3 frame. Thereby, the transmission apparatus of the digital cablecast system may reduce a transmission noise and perform the cablecast service of high quality.
