Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for managing a contention window based on detection of a transmission error. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for managing a contention window based on detection of a transmission error includes the steps of recognizing a transmission failure of data in a case where data transmission is performed by a contention-based wireless channel access method; verifying whether the transmission failure of data results from a channel error or a collision by a contention between terminals; and determining a contention window set in association with the data transmission based on the verification result.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A service-providing method for a femto cell, and a transceiver for the same are provided to supply a differentiated service by differentiating transmission quality depending on each femto service. CONSTITUTION: In case a femto base station supports two or more femto cell subscription schemes, the femto base station provides the user equipments which have subscribed to different femto cells with data services having qualities different from one another at the same time. The femto cell subscription schemes supported by the femto base station are advertised to user equipments via a PHY-level identifier or a MAC-level identifier. A CSG-closed femto cell provides a limited number of subscribers with high-quality data services, a CSG-open femto cell provides a limited number of subscribers with relatively lower quality data services, and an OSG femto cell provides all user equipments with the lowest quality data service regardless of whether or not the user equipments have subscribed to the femto cell.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A terminal, a method for handover thereof, and a supporting method for the handover of a base station are provided to efficiently generate and manage a neighboring base station list including femto cell information in order for a terminal to perform a handover process in a condition in which a plurality of femto cells and macro cells are superimposed. CONSTITUTION: A macro base station(100) manages a macro cell(10). The macro cell includes a plurality of femto cells(21,22,23) managed by the plurality of femto base stations(210,220,230). The macro cell represents a cell that is larger than the femto cell. The femto base stations represent very small base stations for providing a wireless communication service to small areas and manage the femto cell. For example, they are installed in a blanket area where propagation of other cells is degraded such as a house or a building to acquire a high quality mobile communication service. A terminal(300) represents the end terminal of a radio channel and accesses the femto base stations or the macro base station to transmit/receive data. The terminal performs a scan process based on the neighboring base station list broadcast by the macro base station. The terminal acquires measurement information on the neighboring macro base stations through the scan process. The measurement information includes information that can influence the handover such as RSSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator), CNR(Carrier to Noise Ratio), and SINR(Signal to Interference Noise Ratio).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An identification method and a device for generating a protocol data unit are provided to reduce a size of a PDU(Protocol Data Unit) header by including a flow identifier in a PDU header. CONSTITUTION: A media access control layer of a base station(10) allocates a station identifier for distinguishing a terminal in a cell(20) to the terminal(S110). The station identifier is allocated to the terminal when the terminal enters or reenters the network. The media access control layer allocates the flow identifier for distinguishing the connection in the terminal to the corresponding connection in the terminal(S120). The media access control layer of the base station transmits the flow identifier allocated to the corresponding connection to a header of the PDU(S130). The media access control layer divides the media access control identifier into the station identifier and the flow identifier. Each connection is distinguished by the combination of the station identifier and the flow identifier.
