Abstract: PURPOSE: An organic light emitting device is provided to improve the extraction efficiency of light emitted from a substrate to the outside by minimizing total reflection in a boundary between the substrate and external air. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(100) with a first refractive index is prepared. A first electrode(110) is formed on the substrate. A second electrode(130) is formed between the substrate and the first electrode. An organic light emitting layer(120) with a second refractive index is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first refractive index is equal to or higher than the second refractive index. A protection layer(140) is formed on the second electrode.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An organic light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the light extraction efficiency of organic light emitting diode by emitting light diffracted by bent patterns. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode(200) is formed on a substrate(100). An organic light emitting layer(300) is formed on the first electrode. A second electrode(400) is formed on the organic light emitting layer. A protective layer(500) is formed on the second electrode. Micrometer sized bent patterns(110,120) are formed on the surface of the substrate adjacent to the first electrode.
