    Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow high sensitivity measurement over a wide energy range while reducing the size and weight by constituting a neutron measuring equipment of a plurality of mutually coupled ionization chambers having a common current collecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:The neutron measuring equipment comprises ionization chambers 16, 18 and 20 for detecting a thermal neutron, a high speed neutron and an intermediate speed neutron, respectively. A common current collecting electrode 21 is inserted through three ionization chambers 16, 18, 20. An ionization gas, e.g. He, is encapsulated in a vessel 28 and when a neutron impinges on the ionization chamber 16, an alpha-ray or a proton ray is emitted to cause ionization in the chamber 16 thus allowing indirect detection of neutron. When a high speed neutron impinges on the ionization chamber 18, a proton repelled by a polyethylene member 32 causes ionization of encapsulated inert gas thus allowing indirect detection of high speed neutron. An intermediate speed neutron is decelerated in the ionization chamber 20 to produce a thermal neutron which intrudes into a vessel 40 to cause ionization thus allowing detection of intermediate speed neutron.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure atmospheric water content continuously by introducing fast neutrons from the sky into a shielded vessel to thermalize them and then by counting the thermal neutrons to determine the water content. CONSTITUTION:Fast neutrons 32 from the sky passing through a cloud 34 are thermalized by a conversion layer 20 to thermal neutrons in a shielded vessel 18 for neutron detection. Then, a thermal neutron detector 22 under the conversion layer 20 detects the number of neutrons per unit time and unit area. Subsequently, the detection result is amplified by a preamplifier 26 and an amplifier 28, and the number is counted by a counting circuit 30. Thereafter the atmospheric water content is calculated by arithmetic means 24.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement in wide range of energy region weighted appropriately by providing an ion chamber part having a pair of ion chamber loaded on a human body side and on outside of the human body, an electric source, a neutron filter and an arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:A neutron equivalent dosimeter is loaded on a human body 26. If thermal neutrons 100 are irradiated from outside, these thermal neutrons 100 go into a second ion chamber 10-2 on the other side of the body and react here to produce alpha ray which causes ionization. Due to this ionization, electrons reach a collecting electrode and resulting pulse is counted by a counter. On the other hand, if medium and fast neutrons 200 are irradiated from outside and they go into the ion chamber 10-2, the medium and fast neutrons having high energy pass the ion chamber 10-2 due to very small reaction cross section area for 10B. Furthermore, the neutrons 200 pass through a neutron filter 14 and an ion chamber 10-2 as they are to go into the human body 26. The neutrons 200 having reached the human body 26 are scattered in the human body 26 to be thermal neutrons 300, go out of the human body and again go into the ion chamber 10-1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformly relax heating of the surface of the body of an adjacent part of a coil and to surely and easily bring only the diseased part of a living body of a deep part to high frequency induction heating by oscillating a ring-like coil by X axis and Y axis oscillating devices, and bringing only the diseased part of the living body to induction heating. CONSTITUTION:By turning simultaneously an X axis motor 28 of an X axis oscillating device 24 and a Y axis motor 30 of a Y axis oscillating device 22, a ring-like coil 12 is brought to oscillating motion at a prescribed angle and speed. It is brought to oscillating motion continuously for a prescribed period, for instance, in 60 seconds per one period, and as a result, against the center surface on which a line of magnetic force in the coil becomes strong, in other part than the center, for instance, in an adjacent part of the coil, the coil is always brought to oscillating motion, and heating is dispersed. That is, in the center part in which the line of magnetic force becomes strong in the coil, a tumor part is always allowed to exist. Accordingly, the heating part center (x mark) is brought to induction heating always even if a temperature rise ratio is small, therefore, it can be brought to temperature rise effectively, comparing with other part, and as for other the body surface than the center, heating is prevented by lowering a temperature rise.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently measure a radiation ray of low energy by adsorbing tritium converted to tritium water, by a collecting plate being a part of a detector. CONSTITUTION:A portable pocket dosimeter for opening a Lauritsen foil detecting electrode 18 consisting of two sheets of a electrode foils of the rear end part of a rod-like electrode 12 by an ionization charge detected by a detecting part 10, and measuring the radioactive concentration by its degree is provided with a converting container 22 provided with a catalyst 22a of platinum and palladium, etc. on the inner wall, a lead-in part 24 for leading in measured air containing tritium water being steam and other radioactive substance, and a collecting plate 26 for adsorbing and collecting the radioactive substance and consisting of such materials as molecular sieve, silica gel, activated carbon, etc. On the detecting surface side of the collecting plate 26, a mesh- like cathode plate 10b is provided. In such a way, a portable personal monitor which can measure exactly a radiant ray of low energy can be offered.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the accurate measurement of neutrons by laminating a plurality of neutron counters and neutron moderators alternately and independently detecting the neutrons by the respective neutron counters. CONSTITUTION:Neutrons incident to a measuring instrument are detected by a fourth counter 22 first in an unmoderated condition and the neutrons which are not detected by the fourth counter 22 are moderated by a predetermined energy to reach a third counter 20. The same neutron detection as above is conducted by the third counter 20 and the neutrons which are not detected here further pass a second moderator 12. The neutrons thus measured reach a first counter 16. Therefore, the neutrons with different energy levels are detected by the counters 16, 18, 20 and 22 and the number of the neutrons are counted through a count processing circuit. Thus, the precise measurement of the neutrons can be correctly performed.
