Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a conventional problem that blood may be scattered from a blood collector at the time when it is opened by means of this invention related to a blood collector, particularly to its structure.
SOLUTION: The blood collector 10 comprises a main body 12 and a rubber stopper 14. The top opening fringe of the main body 12 is provided with a partition member 16. The partition member 16 is made of a material which can be perforated with a nozzle. Even when the rubber stopper 14 has been removed from the main body 12 during opening it, the partition member 16 can remain behind and effectively prevent the scattering out of blood from the interior of the main body 12. The partition member 16 can also prevent the attachment of blood to the back of the rubber stopper 14.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for the direct pasting of bar code labels on specimen containers and to make the recycling of bar code labels possible. SOLUTION: A label plate 12 is detachably mounted to the plate placing surface 10A of a rack main body 10. The placement is performed through the use of the magnetic force of a magnet 18. A label 26 is pasted to the label plate 12 at a location corresponding to each insertion hole 14. With the label plate 12 mounted, a protruded part 32 is engaged with the notch 30. Even with the protruded part 32 engaged with the notch 30, it is possible to shift the label plate 12 upward. This facilitates the removal of the label plate 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the operation wait time of a carrying mechanism and label-affixing device as much as possible just by the addition of a simple structure and maximize ability to process. SOLUTION: A buffer hole 28 is made near an insertion hole 26, and a container is transferred from the insertion hole 26 to the buffer hole 28 by means of a subhandler 30. In a storing section 20, a label-affixing device 36 is provided and a label is affixed to the container. The labelled container is once stored in the buffer hole 28 by the subhandler 30. Right after that, the following container is inserted into the insertion hole 26 by a main handler, and then the main handler returns and carries the labelled container existing in the buffer hole 28. The label-affixing device may be provided below the storing section 20, in which case the insertion hole 26 and buffer hole 28 are through-holes.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the color of a sample optically while performing a series of dispensing operations by providing an at least partially transparent suction/ delivery nozzle, a section for optically measuring the color of a sample contained therein, and a nozzle carrying mechanism. SOLUTION: A nozzle tip 10 is made of a transparent resin, for example, and provided with a section 12 for measuring the color of a sample sucked therein. When the nozzle tip 10 is lowered from above a test tube 32 containing a sample by means of a nozzle carrying mechanism 24 and then elevated while sucking the sample, a predetermined measuring light emitted from an emitting section 36 is passed through the nozzle tip 10 and received at a light receiving section 38. It is then passed through an amplifier 42 and an A/D converter 44 to a data processing section 46 where various analyses are performed based on a determined color. Analytical results are presented on a display 48 and delivered, as required, to a biochemical analyzer. A dispensation control section 30 controls the carriage of a rack 34 holding test tubes 32 as well as a dispensation pump 28, the nozzle carrying mechanism 24 and the color measuring section 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively prevent babbles from occurring by a method wherein right after a liquid level is detected, a dispensing pump is stopped to stop the ejection of an air and an air blow-off valve is opened. CONSTITUTION:A pump 18 is driven under control of a control section 22 so that a nozzle 10 is lowered by a drive section 24 by ejecting an air from a tip of the nozzle 10. When a pressure value detected by a pressure sensor 20 exceeds a threshold level, that is, a liquid level of a specimen 14 is detected, the pump 18 is immediately stopped and an air blow-off valve 26 is opened so that the lowering of the nozzle 10 is stopped. As a result, pressure in a pipeline (a pipe 16, a nozzle 10, a syringe) is suddenly reduced, thereby it is possible to effectively prevent bubbles from occurring and to enhance the dispensing accuracy.

CONSTITUTION:Two suction nozzles 14 are arranged at the right and the left of a discharge nozzle 16, and the suction nozzles 14 are moved inside a well 12 to the front and the rear in a direction at right angles to their arrangement direction. When a sample is sucked during their horizontal movement, the sample which remains at corners is sucked and removed. Even after a cleaning liquid has been poured, it is sucked by the same movement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To collect only serum from a centrifuged blood sample with a single collecting needle. CONSTITUTION:The collecting needle 59 of a collecting unit 18 is pierced through the sealing stopper of a blood collecting tube 12, and a rotating base 34 is rotated to lay the blood collecting tube 12 in the reversed state. The pressure in a cylinder 48 is repeatedly increased and reduced in this state, whereby the serum collected in the lower part of the blood collecting tube 12 is taken into the cylinder 48. The collecting unit 18 is used also as the pump of a dispensing device.
