Abstract:
The invention relates to a sheet which can be identified by means of near infrared spectroscopy, said sheet comprising at least one NIR component that is sensitive to near infrared radiation, and which can be qualified and/or quantified by means of near infrared spectroscopy using a specific calibration. The invention also relates to the method used to authenticate said sheet.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a security thread (3) to be incorporated into a security document, comprising at least two zones (31, 32) located respectively on either side of a separation line extending longitudinally along the thread (3), a first optically variable security element (16) in the first zone (31) and a second optically variable security element (17) in the second zone (32), the first and second elements both being at a distance from the separation line and arranged such that for a first direction of observation, the two elements have different appearances from one another and for a second direction of observation different from the first, the two elements have, on the one hand, each changed appearance with respect to their appearance when observed according to the first direction of observation, and, on the other hand, have different appearances from one another.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a security structure intended to be at least partially incorporated into or affixed to an article, particularly a security document and/or a valuable document, the structure comprising a substrate, at least one electronic device (11) carried by the substrate, at least one non-electronic security and/or decorative element visible to the naked eye, carried by the substrate, covering only a portion of one side of the substrate and having no effect on the operation of the electronic device, and/or at least one amplifying antenna coupled with the electronic device and carried by the substrate, the electronic device (11) being at least partially visible so as to form with the security and/or decorative element a design chosen from among a geometric shape, particularly an ellipse, circle or polygon, a written symbol, particularly an alphanumeric character, and an image of a recognizable object, particularly a logo, a plant, an animal or a person.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an optical disc comprising: one side (2) including data readable by laser when the disc is rotated, said side being defined by a flexible structure (3); a support (4) for rigidifying the flexible structure and including at least one fibrous layer; and identification and/or authentication element (6) borne by the support.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a structure for obtaining a security and/ or value document or for protecting an article, wherein said structure comprises at least one electronic device (106, 120) and at least one layer which is at least partially fibrous (108, 34, 35) and is provided with a window (109, 40, 41) for receiving at least partially the electronic device. The inventive method consists in placing the electronic device at least in a parallel position in the window of the layer, in deposing a resin (112, 130) in said window in such a way that that said electronic device is at least partially encapsulated.
Abstract:
A method for making a paper sheet comprising at least one region which is thinner than the rest of the sheet. According to the method, a first paper layer (3) is formed on a wire in a first wet end of a paper-making machine, a second paper layer (5) is formed on a wire in a second wet end of the paper-making machine, one of the two paper layers has a number of localised thinner regions (8) so that the thickness (e2) of said paper layers in said regions is up to 50 % less than the thickness (et) of the rest of the sheet, and the two layers are joined together and dried. The resulting paper may be used in banknotes or cheques.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multilayer structure (20), which is intended, in particular, to be integrated into a security document, comprising: at least one watermark (16) or pseudo-watermark; at least one diffusing layer (11), which is at least partially placed on top of the watermark or pseudo-watermark, the diffusing layer comprising a polymer matrix having a refractive index n matrice , and diffusing particles bonded together by the matrix, having a refractive index n particules that is different than that of the matrix, with a difference │n matrice -n particules │ that is greater than or equal to 0.01, and preferably greater than or equal to 0.03.
Abstract:
The flakes, which are flat and of relatively small format, preferably 1 - 4 mm in size, are made with authentication motifs on both sides that are visible under natural or artificial light. The motifs can be colours, geometrical or alphanumerical designs, printed on flakes of circular, triangular, oval or other shape, with a preferable print weight of 2 - 5 g/sq m. They can be designed to be be visible under UV or infrared light, or be made luminescent, especially fluorescent or phosphorescent, thermochromic or piezochromic, contain DNA tracers or other means of identification. The flakes can be added to paper used for making security document that can have a backing of paper, a non-woven material, plastic film or a combination of these.
