    Abstract: 2,3-Substituted 1,8-naphthyridines of the general formula I in which the substituents have the following meaning: R denotes hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl (n = 1 or 2> R denotes amino, substituted amino, XR , in which X is oxygen or sulphur and R represents hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl-(C1-C4)alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl(C1-C3)-alkyl, halogen, isothiuronium halide, C1-C12-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl- C1-C4-alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl-(C1-C3)-alkyl, R denotes C1-C4-alkyl, cyano, carboxyl, a group or in which X denotes oxygen or sulphur B denotes C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy or alkylthio, amino, mono- or dialkylamino having 1 to 4 C atoms per alkyl radical, morpholino, piperidyl, chlorine, bromine or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, D denotes C1-C4-alkyl or NH2 and R denotes hydrogen, C1-C8-alkyl or alkylcarbonyl, or R and R together denote -NH-N=C(CH2)-, and non-phytotoxic salts thereof, with the proviso that, if R denotes methyl, hydroxyl or amino (NH2), R does not represent cyano, carboxyl, a carboxamido or carboxylic ester group, processes for their preparation and herbicides containing at least one naphthyridine I as antidote and at least one herbicidal active ingredient from the group comprising a) 2-(4-heteroaryloxy)- or 2-(4-aryloxy)-phenoxyacetic acid derivatives or b) cyclohexenone derivatives.
