Abstract:
The present invention relates to polyalkylene imine based polymers, which have aliphatic polyester groups attached to the polyalkylenimine backbone via an carboxamide group. The novel polymers are particularly useful as dispersants for pigments, in particular as dispersants for pigments in non-aqueous compositions. The polyalkylene imine based polymers are characterized by having a) a polyalkylene imine backbone; b) at least one aromatic moiety P.1, which is bound to a nitrogen atom of the polyalkylene imine backbone via an carboxamide or carboximide group; and c) at least one aliphatic polyester moiety P.2, which is bound to a nitrogen atom of the polyalkylene imine backbone via an carboxamide group.
Abstract:
Described are block copolymers which have been prepared by controlled free radical polymerization. Also described is the use of said block copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes and a process to produce said block copolymers. Further described is a method for easier releasing soil from textiles in laundry processes and a detergent containing said block copolymers.
Abstract:
This invention refers to a novel process for the synthesis of polyethylene imine (PEI)-based pigment dispersants characterized by a 'grafting from' approach, allowing the manufacture of solvent based dispersant systems. The polyethylene imine (PEI)-based pigment dispersant can be presented by the formula (I) X-(T)m-P-(T)n-H wherein P is a polyethyleneimine (PEI) backbone; T is a residue -CO-A-O- wherein A is C2-C12 alkylene optionally substituted with C1-C6 alkyl with the proviso that each linkage between P and T is an amide bond and each linkage between X and T is an ester bond, X is a modifier or terminator residue R-CO- wherein R is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkanecarboxylic acids having from 1 to 22 carbon atoms or an unsaturated fatty acid residue or a hydroxycarboxylic residue or a polyester residue obtained from polycondensation of hydroxycarboxylic acids, or an acid terminated polyether; n, m independently are a number from 1 to 100.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a polysaccharide-g-polyether dispersant represented as a compound of Formula 1 or a mixture of compounds of Formula (I) and Formula (II) wherein, T is the backbone polymer and is a residue of a modified cellulose or chitosan, with a molecular weight of 500 -1000,000 g/mol; A and B are each, independently, -O- or -NH-; R is linear or branched -(C1-C50alkylene)-, arylene, cyclo-C5-C8-alkylene, isophoronediyl, or linear or branched -(C2-C10alkylene)- which is interrupted by phenylene or cyclohexanediyl; P is the residue of a polyether and/or polyester chain with molecular weight between 100 and 10,000 g/mol, n is a number of 1 - 5000.
