    Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve both low NOx generating and complete combustion simultaneously by a method wherein the combustion of unburnt part is carried out after the completion of denitration reaction by securing sufficient time until flames come in contact with the tertiary air. CONSTITUTION:The secondary and tertiary air are transferred respectively to an air preheater by a forced air blower and the part of the air flows into a secondary air passage through an inlet hole 11 for the secondary air of which opening is controlled by a slidable damper 9 and after revolving force is provided by a secondary vane 12, the air is spouted into the furnace inside from a secondary jet hole 13. The remaining air is provided with revolving force by a tertiary air resister 15 and spouted into the furnace inside from a tertiary jet hole 16. In this case, a spacer ring 17 with sufficient thickness (d) is installed and its end part is so constituted as to be expanded outside the axial center of the spacer ring. The tertiary air is spouted around the circumference of flames with a fixed space to the flames. The sufficient time to denitrate in the flames is secured and the flames finishing denitration comes in contact with the tertiary air at the downstream part of the flames to carry out complete combustion.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a furnace draft change by a method wherein gas flowing from a sub-spouting port is arranged so as to cross gas flowing from an abutting sub-spouting port at a gas-burner spouting port section. CONSTITUTION:The injection direction 21 of the sub-spouting port at alternate three burners within 6 burners (gas supplying pipe 2) are arranged to the direc tion of impellers 10 and the injection direction 22 of the sub-spouting port at the rest burners are arranged to the tangent direction of the impellers 10. The gas flowing is crossed at a crossing 25 before arriving at the impellers. On the other hand, the gas flowing out of a main-spouting port is in an arrow 20. Jets in the direction 21 have a short distance L2 unitl the crossing 25 and a long distance L1 in the direction 22. The gas flowing from the direction 22 has become flames already due to long distance L1 and the gas jets in the direction 21 become in condition wrapped by the flames thereof while the flame forming numbers of the secondary air port 13 become three which are half of the burner's number. The numbers of forming the flame-front rim of swing generation places like this are reduced by half, therefore, the furnace draft change may be prevented without flame interference.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To atomize the liq. droplet to be sprayed by providing a throttle part having a cross section smaller than a confluent part side to the ejection port side of a nozzle in the confluent passage of a two-fluid spray nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The spray nozzle especially the two-fluid spray nozzle is used for atomizing low-range fuel oil and reducing the dust in waste gas, when a fluid to be atomized and an atomization fluid are fed forcibly under pressure. A confluent passage 9A is provided and connected to the conical part of an atomization fluid passage 7, and a confluent passage 9B leading from the conflu ent passage 9A to the ejection port on the front surface of the nozzle forms a throttle part having a cross section smaller than that of the confluent part 9A. Consequently, an atomization fluid B joins the fluid A to be atomized at almost right angles to each other, and is throttled by the passage 9B. Besides, the fluid A is detached from the wall surface of the passage, and atomized uniformly by the fluid B. Accordingly, the droplet to be sprayed is atomized, and the combustion efficiency can be enhanced even when low-grade fuel oil is used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a fuel line from being blocked by a method wherein water used as the solvent of coal-water slurry (CWM) fuel is used as purging solvent and the purging water is reused.
    CONSTITUTION: The water from the water tank 20 both for controlling slurry concentration and washing the slurry is mixed with CWM fuel from the service tank 17 through the water inlet valve 22 and the CWM fuel is diluted to reduce concentration and, therefore, viscosity, guided to the burner 5 through the piping 3 and the inlet valve 19, injected into the combustion chamber 8, atomized by air and burnt in the combustion chamber 8 to close the inlet valve 22 and to stop the pump 21. In order to stop the CWM fuel, the fuel supply valve 2 is stopped and simultaneously the inlet valve 22 is opened and the pump 21 is started to purify the CWM fuel in the fuel line. When water used as solvent of the CWM fuel is used as purging solvent, the CWM fuel is exhausted completely and not stagnated in the fuel line.

CONSTITUTION:A pressure medium fed to a mixing chamber 7 from a pressure medium feeding path 9, and a liquid fuel supplied to a mixing chamber 7 from a fuel feeding path 8 are atomized primarily in the mixing chamber 7, and then the mixed gas is throttled by a throttle part 10, becoming an accelerated flow. The mixed gas injection port 11 of a throttling part 10, fixed to the end of a mixing chamber by a pressure ring 12, has a hexagonal, star-shaped section, so that the secondary atomization is taken place and the atomization characteristic property is further improved. With such an arrangement, high atomizatio characteristic can be obtained in a liquid fuel combustion apparatus.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the combustion of pulverized coal while reducing the quantity of NOX generated by each mounting baffle plates, inner diameters thereof gradually increase in the direction of injection, to a nose section in the direction of injection of an injection nozzle for secondary air and a nose section in the direction of injection of an injection nozzle for tertiary air. CONSTITUTION:A baffle plate 5 inclining at a predetermined angle in the direction of injection (the axial direction of a secondary-air injection nozzle) of secondary air G2 is arranged to the nose of the injection nozzle 2. Mixing to a mixing flow of pulverized coal at a central section and primary air G1 is delayed in the greater part of secondary air G2 by the baffle plate 5. A baffle plate 6 inclining at a prescribed angle to the direction of injection (the axial direction of a tertiary-air injection nozzle 3) of tertiary air G3 is disposed to the nose of the injection nozzle 3.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to positively detect a flame by constituting a deformed part in a frame rod and detecting the existence of a flame by the change in the resistance value. CONSTITUTION:A first ring-shaped projection 13A is provided on the central part of a frame rod 13 and a second ring-shaped projection 13B on the tip end thereof. Sealing air exhausted from the tip end of a guide 5 flows along a base part of a rod metal fitting 10 and a base part of a frame rod 13 and comes into collision with the first ring-shaped projection 13A. Thereby, the sealing air flows toward the outer part being peeled off from the frame rod 13. Accordingly, the sealing air does not exist on the surfaces of the frame rods 13 downwardly of the frame rod 13A, and sufficient contact between the flame and the frame rod 13 is kept, and the flame is positively detected. Moreover, since the second ring- shaped projection 13B is formed at the tip end portion of the frame rod 13, a whirl 15 is generated at the rear stream part to include flame. Hence, the contact between the frame rod 13 and the flame is further strengthened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive low-NOx combustion which is based on far effective use of a burner, by a method wherein operating terms of each burner step are made to differ from each other, the low-NOx combustion is performed respectively in each of the burners and operation of the burners at the low-NOx combustion is performed as a whole also. In other words, supply quantities of secondary air 20 and tertiary air 30 can correspond with a matter that an operating speed of each of fans 302, 303 is made to vary other than application of dampers 321, 331. In this instance, especially, as for adjustment of an injection speed of the tertiary air 30 (mixed gas), it can be done freely by mixing exhaust gas 50 with the tertiary air 30 by making use of a damper 312 and keeping a supply quantity of oxygen in the mixed gas at a predetermined value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive to decrease the nitrogen-containing compound quantity and reduce the NOX by a method wherein the oxidative derivative of a hydrocarbon and a aldehyde-keton group and the like are injected into a main burning area after-flow. CONSTITUTION:A furnace is provided with a main burner 30 group at the lower part thereof, a denitrating burner 40 at the upper part of said burner group and an after-air port 50. The burning of the main burner 30 group is maintained by supplying a hydrocarbon family fuel, for instance, an LNG, a heavy crude oil and a coal. The denitrating burner 40 is supplied with the hydrocarbon oxidative derivative of a methanol and the like, or a keton aldehyde group, desirably, a relatively low cost and lower alkyl alcohol group such as a methanol, ethanol and the like, then an air through the after-air port 50 is supplied for the perfect burning of an incomplete combustion product included in those combustibles. Thereby, a surplus reduction substance without participation in the gaseous phase reduction of NOX can be reacted by the burning of a denitrating fuel, accordingly, the exhausting quantity of the NOX can be exceedingly reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive drastic reduction of NOx by improving thermal efficiency, ignitionability and controllability of a burner, by a method wherein a part of a plurality of fuel injection nozzles are constituted so that fuel is made to inject toward a shaft center of a burner, and the remaining injection nozzles are made to diffuse the fuel outwardly, the surroundings of which is covered with inactive gas. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injected from a main nozzle hole 70 is injected toward the central axis of a burner, namely, toward primary air injecting from a primary air passage 20 and secondary air injecting from a secondary air passage 30, high-temperature combustion is done with supply of sufficient oxygen and bears a heat load of the titled device. As mixing of the fuel with air is favorable the titled device is superior in ignitionability and properties keeping a flame burning and controllability can be improved also. On the other hand, as fuel injected from an auxiliary nozzle hole 80 is injected toward the outside and surrounded with inactive gas to be injected from surroundings of the fuel, concentration of oxygen is lowered, time delay in ignition is generated and a reducing intermediate product is generated through heat of a main combustion flame. With this structure, gaseous phase reduction of NOx of the main combustion flame is done favorably at a downstream side of the main combustion flame and turned into N2.
