Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operability at transmission by selecting a caller at the transmission of a picture so as to set the transmission mode specific to the caller. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 2 registers plural callers to a RAM 4 and registers a transmission mode to the registered caller. When dialing is implemented for picture transmission, the registered caller is selected and a picture is sent in the registered transmission mode in response to the selected caller. When an automatic dial key is selected by dial input and the transmission mode in response to the destination is set in advance to the automatic dial key, the transmission mode takes precedence over the transmission mode in response to the caller and the transmission is implemented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To transmit a prescribed image communication procedure signal in a corresponding pause period by inputting and storing pause data as the final data of telephone number data. CONSTITUTION:The pause data are inputted by prescribed key operation. When a corresponding code is detected in accordance with the scanning of codes, a dialer 39 is driven and dialing data are transmitted to a line. The transmission of all digits of the dialing data is then decided. When the decision is rejected, the dialing data of plural digits are transmitted by repeating the processing from the initial stage, and when the data are accepted, reset processing is executed to end the dialing processing.

As the result, when the hand set is on-hooked, a response to start the copy operation is returned to the PC. Next, a normal copy processing is executed. Thus, a control panel is eliminated, and the low-priced and simply designed facsimile equipment is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption in standby by providing a means starting power supply according to an external condition and a means stopping power supply at the end of operation. CONSTITUTION:When the power oscillation is started and a CPU of a communication equipment is started, an inverse of PHLD signal at an output port 17 is fixed to a level L to continue the oscillation of power. When the CI arrives, the mode is transited to the automatic reception and the level of inverse PHLD at the output port 17 goes to an H to turn off the power supply. On the other hand, when no CI arrives, a 10sec timer is started and the expiration of the 10sec timer is discriminated when no copy key is depressed regardless of the depression of the start key, the level of inverse of PHLD at the output port 17 goes to an H in the case of timeover, the power oscillation is stopped and the power supply to the communication equipment is stopped.

A slice level is variably set in an analog processing part 44 in accordance with a dither pattern indicated by a dither pattern generating circuit 46 and is compared with the output signal of the CCD 41, namely, a video signal VB, and the signal VB is binarized. The binarized signal subjected to gradation correction by the dither pattern in this manner is outputted to the PPI 10 through a serial-parallel converter 45. The integral time of the CCD 41 in the half-tone mode is twice as long as that in the binary mode. Thus, the same electric charge as a conventional method of only comparison with the slice level is stored in the CCD 41 even if the output of a light source is reduced.
