    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the reliability with a simple device by detecting the consecutive operating time of a process load from the frequency of a commercial AC power supplied thereto. CONSTITUTION:The lighting of a halogen lamp LA1 being an original exposing lamp of a copying machine is detected by a current flowing to the lamp LA1 by means of a current transformer CT, and a pulse corresponding to the commercial frequency of the current, for example, 50Hz is obtained by a lighting detecting section. The pulse is counted by a frequency divider Q953 so as to set accurately the time, and when the halogen lamp LA1 keeps lighting over the set time, a transistor Q954 drives a relay K951 so as to extinguish the lamp LA1. The frequency divider Q953 is reset at the extinguishment so as not to produce a pulse at a coarse set time depending on a capacitor C951 and a resistor R954, and the protection circuit is formed with simple constitution without an accurate oscillator.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To smooth the operation for paper feed by connecting plural image processors which are independently usable, prohibiting the operation of the paper feed roller of the units except the specific unit and supplying a tuning signal used for adjusting timings from the unit in the previous stage. CONSTITUTION:The connecting part 1 on a paper discharging side of one device A and the connecting part on a paper feeding side of the other device B are connectd. The copying start signal of the device A in the 1st stage acts as it is as the copying start signal of the copying device B in the 2nd stage and begins to run the main motor of the device B. On the other hand, the fixing roller 7 of the device A in the 1st stage plays the role of a paper feed roller 11 in the device B in the 2nd stage and therefore the roller 11 of the device B does not rotate at all times and is put in the position where it does not contact with recording paper. A rising signal is received in the device B in the 2nd stage from a sensor 8 for detecting paper discharge of the device A in the 1st stage and copying is started by advancing an optical system. The copying is thus performed without jamming the recording paper and without deviation in the matching thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enconomize a memory by using jointly a timer means for counting a prescribed time, and a timer menas for executing an abnormality flickering display, after an abnormality has been detected. CONSTITUTION:A check of a copy key 47e, a stop key 46d, etc. in case of cassette feed paper copying, and an operation of a display by a key input are executed. When the stop key 46d is depressed, the operation is shifted to the next step and the display is varied to ''1''. Thereafter, when the copy key becomes on, an initial set value stored in a display RAM2 is inputted to an RAM1, the RAM1 is displayed on a display device and the initial number of set sheets is reset. A subtraction of a timer clock of forward rotation, backward rotation, etc. and a time-UP are checked. Subsequently, a subtraction of a timer clock of a cassette feed paper solenoid SL301 and a time-UP are checked, and after the time-UP, the cassette feed paper solenoid becomes off. In this way, a memory can be economized by using jointly a count timer means and an abnormality flickering display timer means.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate waste and to improve operating efficiency by connecting plural image processors which are independently usable, and continuing the operation of the normal unit on the down stream in the conveyance direction in view of the disabled unit when any of the unit is disabled. CONSTITUTION:The connecting part on a paper discharging side of one device A and the connecting part 2 on a paper feeding side of the other device B are connected. A copying process is started in the device B in the 2nd stage by the rise of the detection signal (spurious paper feed signal C12) from a sensor 8 for detectng the paper discharge of the device A in the 1st stage and therefore the inptting of said signal C12 during the time when an optical system begins to retreat until the revolution of a main motor and resist roller 9 stop is the condition for continuous copying. Accordingly, the data of the number of sheets copied continuously are not required to inform to the copying device succeeding the second stage. More specifically, if abnormality arises in the stage of performing image recording by connecting the plural devices, the recording operation is continued with the succeeding devices on the down stream of the device in which the abnormality arises and the recording operation thereof is continued. The operation is stopped after processing for paper discharging upon completion of all the image recording on the entire recording paper carried into the device prior to generation of the abnormality.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain easily a much advanced image processing function by connecting plural image processors which can be independently used, and starting copying operation from the image processors positioned on the down stream side by the signal from a means for detecting a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When the connection of plural image processors (for example, copying devices) is perfect and a processing for detecting the connection ends, whether the copying is feasible or not is then discriminated by the presence or absence of, for example, a toner (developer) or recording paper. More specifically, whether the copying is feasible or not is discriminated in accordance with the detection signal C2 of various sensors Q3 in a sub-routine for diagnosig said copy and if the copying is infeasible, a copying prohibition signal C11 is transmitted in the same way as in the diagnosis for connection and thereafter the copying operation is stopped and what is a fault is displayed. The supervising is continued further and if the fault is eliminated and the copying is made feasible, the main routine is returned and the succeeding steps are started. The operation for copying is started if the copiable state is diagnosed in the above-mentioned way.
