The storage section of a waste ink tank is formed by containing a waste ink absorber 2 in the waste ink tank. A heat sink 7 transferring heat to the waste ink tank is coupled thermally with the heat plate 6 of the power supply unit 1 through face contact with the heat plate and extends to the inner side face and the lower surface of the waste ink storage section thus transferring heat from the power supply unit 1 to each waste ink absorber 2.

In this regard, operation results of a variable bit pattern 9 and a bit pattern 13 are stored in the print buffer 10 within a specified coordinate range on the surface of a print sheet. Consequently, image information is received from a portable data processor and a printed data subjected to image processing specified by a bit map pattern stored in the printer can be generated.

CONSTITUTION:The power supplies of a control part 4 and a recording part 1 are turned OFF when an operation is started. When a set signal ST is set at '1', the supply of power is started to both parts 4 and 1. Then the output change of a printing end signal END is detected. If the signal level is not changed, the signal ST is checked. Then the error processing is carried out if the signal ST is kept at '0'. In such a constitution, a power is applied and the printing processing is carried out when a memory card 2 is loaded. When this printing operation is finished, the power is interrupted.

Processing procedure of recording operation is such that a printer head is moved to a printing start position at the left end in a process A and first three characters are recorded in color B in a process B. In a process C the printer head is moved a distance corresponding to two characters and in a process D last three characters are recorded in color B. In a process E the printer head is returned to the left end and moved a distance corresponding to three characters to the right in a process F. In a process G four or five characters are recorded in color Y and a new line is started in a process H and the printer head is returned to the left end in a process I to complete the processing. As a result, recording having picture quality higher than that of monochrome mode can be performed at high speed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To set a printing start position with good accuracy, by prescribing the printing start position on the basis of the relative relation between the position of the recording head of a recording scanning body and the wall surface of the recording scanning body to the scanning direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary roller 10 keeps the interval between the ink emitting orifice of a recording head 7 and a recording material constant and the ink emitting orifice of the recording head 7 is arranged at a position of a distance W parallel to a scanning direction inside a main body 1 from start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2. The ink emitting member 7a of the recording head 7 of the main body 1 stands by inside the main body 1 from the start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2 until the number of trigger pulses corresponding to the distance W parallel to the scanning direction are outputted to allow the start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2 of the main body 1 to function as the guides of a printing start position. Therefore, the printing start position can be arbitrarily set on a recording material visibly by simple operation and can be arranged with good accuracy and printing grade can be enhanced to a large extent.
