Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance stability of waste ink while shortening the time for drying printed ink by employing a heat sink coupled thermally with heating components, e.g. a power supply motor, for transmitting heat to a printed recording medium or a waste ink storing section thereby utilizing generated heat effectively. SOLUTION: A printed board 4 fixed with circuit components is fixed to the inside of a power supply unit 1 having outer surface formed with a heat plate 6 for dissipating heat of a mounted heat generating component 5 to the outside of the unit. The storage section of a waste ink tank is formed by containing a waste ink absorber 2 in the waste ink tank. A heat sink 7 transferring heat to the waste ink tank is coupled thermally with the heat plate 6 of the power supply unit 1 through face contact with the heat plate and extends to the inner side face and the lower surface of the waste ink storage section thus transferring heat from the power supply unit 1 to each waste ink absorber 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incoming notifying function during internal printing to a photo-printer as a catch-phone function in a telephone system and to provide a function for operating an incoming printing by interrupting the internal printing. SOLUTION: It is checked whether or not data is inputted from an external device (PC) 1 to an interface while data on a flash card 3 is printed. When the data is inputted from the external device 1, a busy signal is outputted to the external device 1 to reject the receiving of data, a speaker 18 is activated and an LED 19 is flashed so that a user is notified of the fact that data (photo data) is inputted from the external device 1. The user can confirm the content of the photo data transmitted via a communication line by firstly receiving only data for indication, then he can determine whether the printing of the data on the flash card is to be interrupted for printing the received data or the printing is to be rejected.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a print result subjected to a variety of synthetic image edition even when image information is transferred to a part having no sophisticated image processing power by subjecting the image information to image processing of specified bit map pattern at a specified position and generating output image information. SOLUTION: In a print controller, a CPU 1 prestores a predetermined bit pattern 13. A memory controller 2 controls read-write of a memory 3 having a receiving buffer 8 for storing a print data received from an interface 4 sequentially. It is then read out sequentially and stored in a print butter 10 in the form suitable for printing. In this regard, operation results of a variable bit pattern 9 and a bit pattern 13 are stored in the print buffer 10 within a specified coordinate range on the surface of a print sheet. Consequently, image information is received from a portable data processor and a printed data subjected to image processing specified by a bit map pattern stored in the printer can be generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunctions and the useless consumption of electric power which are caused by the switching operation mistakes by applying the power supply of an equipment and then interrupting the power supply when the prescribed data processing is finished when the attachment of an external storage medium is detected. CONSTITUTION:The power supplies of a control part 4 and a recording part 1 are turned OFF when an operation is started. When a set signal ST is set at '1', the supply of power is started to both parts 4 and 1. Then the output change of a printing end signal END is detected. If the signal level is not changed, the signal ST is checked. Then the error processing is carried out if the signal ST is kept at '0'. In such a constitution, a power is applied and the printing processing is carried out when a memory card 2 is loaded. When this printing operation is finished, the power is interrupted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make recording time shorter by selecting color components indicated in the color information applied to information of recording object by means of an indicating means so that the selected color components only are recorded. CONSTITUTION:Text information for one line is produced in a document processing device and received at I/04, whereby it is stored in RAM2 via CPU1. In the text information, record operation instructions such as code for starting new line(CR), color information(COLOR) code, etc., and document information are described in recording series. Processing procedure of recording operation is such that a printer head is moved to a printing start position at the left end in a process A and first three characters are recorded in color B in a process B. In a process C the printer head is moved a distance corresponding to two characters and in a process D last three characters are recorded in color B. In a process E the printer head is returned to the left end and moved a distance corresponding to three characters to the right in a process F. In a process G four or five characters are recorded in color Y and a new line is started in a process H and the printer head is returned to the left end in a process I to complete the processing. As a result, recording having picture quality higher than that of monochrome mode can be performed at high speed.

Thus, a picture in matching with the intention of the user is outputted to the system with high security as a processing data.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To set a printing start position with good accuracy, by prescribing the printing start position on the basis of the relative relation between the position of the recording head of a recording scanning body and the wall surface of the recording scanning body to the scanning direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary roller 10 keeps the interval between the ink emitting orifice of a recording head 7 and a recording material constant and the ink emitting orifice of the recording head 7 is arranged at a position of a distance W parallel to a scanning direction inside a main body 1 from start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2. The ink emitting member 7a of the recording head 7 of the main body 1 stands by inside the main body 1 from the start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2 until the number of trigger pulses corresponding to the distance W parallel to the scanning direction are outputted to allow the start position indicating guide surfaces G1, G2 of the main body 1 to function as the guides of a printing start position. Therefore, the printing start position can be arbitrarily set on a recording material visibly by simple operation and can be arranged with good accuracy and printing grade can be enhanced to a large extent.
