Abstract:
A moisture-tight, re-sealable container (10, 80, 120, 202, 214) is disclosed having a lid (18, 128) and body (12, 1 12). The lid and body have a non-round seal (50, 78) that is substantially moisture tight when the lid is seated on the body, admitting less than 1000 micrograms per day of water to a package. A reinforcement (22 or 162) stiffens or reinforces at least a portion of the seal against inward deflection along an axis (42) defined by the minor diameter when the lid is seated on the body. Optionally the reinforcement is at least one spline (162) subdividing the reservoir.
Abstract:
A cap and container assembly includes a container having a base and a side wall extending upward from the base. The base and the side wall define an interior, and the side wall defines an opening leading to the interior. A cap moves with respect to the container between an opened position in which the opening is exposed, and a closed position in which the cap covers the opening. A tab projects outward from the cap and has a bottom surface. A spacer projects from the container side wall at a location beneath the tab when the assembly is in the closed position. The spacer bends inward towards the container in response to application of a sufficient force, to move from a locked position that blocks the bottom surface of the tab, to an unlocked position to expose at least a portion of the bottom surface of the tab.
Abstract:
A container assembly for storing one or more arrays of flat elongate articles is provided. The assembly includes a container body having a base, a sidewall extending vertically from the base, a dispensing opening and an interior space. The container further includes a lid optionally linked to the container body by a hinge. The lid is configured to seat on the container body and cover the dispensing opening when the lid is closed. The assembly further includes an insert disposed within the interior space of the container body. The insert is adapted to hold at least one array of flat elongate articles in a generally vertical and optionally slightly slanted storage position. The insert includes a platform adapted to hold a first flat elongate article in an array higher than an adjacent second flat elongate article in the same array.
Abstract:
A method of incorporating an anti-counterfeiting device into a multi-walled container is provided. The multi-walled container includes an inner wall having an outer surface, an outer wall adjacent to the inner wall, and an anti-counterfeiting device sandwiched between the inner and outer walls. The method includes forming the inner wall from a polymeric composition, adhering the anti-counterfeiting device to the outer surface of the inner wall either during, or after formation of the inner wall, and then over molding the outer wall about the inner wall to form the multi-walled container. Suitable anti-counterfeiting devices for incorporation into the multi-walled container include RFID, printed or foil antennae, conductive inks, metal spheres, and x-ray readable foils
