Abstract: A method for communicating two pressure confining conduits through a wall by means of an adapter that mounts two swivelable elbows that act as conduits and conduit junctions is shown. An automotive heater application is described wherein the disclosed method allows standardization of heaters, firewall or climate package through-wall parts. Accommodation of varying the location of the through-wall adapter and heater by merely altering the communicating conduit lengths which are plugged into the adapter and heater, even when the adapter and heater are previously fixably mounted as shown. The method allows the use of the same adapter and heater across many different car lines.

Abstract: A spark plug connector comprises an elbow-shaped contact pre-molded with a first elastomeric material and placed into a dielectric housing which is injection molded with a second elastomeric material to form a subassembly which is releasably locked to a rigid sleeve having a U-shaped handle to insert or remove the assembly. The sleeve is rotated to drive its interior cam teeth into engagement with or disengagement from an annular groove on the housing exterior. The second elastomer forms shoulders which interlock with the housing and seals about the conductor and the contact portions to prevent moisture attack and resist forces that could disrupt the termination.

Abstract: A hose clamp for securing a flexible conduit onto a fitting is disclosed. The hose clamp includes a flat elongated metallic strip having a pair of end portions. The strip has a biasing portion integrally formed from the strip between the two end portions. The biasing portion provides the strip with resilient characteristics. Also, a mechanism for securing the two end portions to one another is formed or secured onto the end portions of the metallic strip. Also, an integral mechanism may be formed on the strip for securing the clamp to the flexible conduit prior to assembly onto the fitting.

Abstract: A conduit liner assembly for use in the installation of a series of fiber optics cables in an existing conduit. The conduit liner assembly includes a plurality of individual chambered inserts each having a central chamber and connected one to another in bundled engagement such that each of the inserts is longitudinally moveable individually with respect to each of the inserts adjacent thereto. Also provided is a method for installation of a conduit liner assembly in an existing conduit including the steps of connecting a group of separate tubular inserts together into a loosely held bundle wherein the separate tubular inserts are longitudinally moveable with respect to one another when connected. The bundle of inserts is next pulled through an existing conduit at a suitable access point in the conduit. The bundle is separated at the access point into separate tubular inserts. A pulling force is the applied to each of the separate tubular inserts. And the assembly is pulled through the conduit by applying the pulling force to each separate insert.

The male portion makes use of the end of the conduit itself, and the female portion only requires a stepped bore. The seal 50, stabilizing bushings areas 34 and retainer 138 are carried on the male portion. The seal 50 may be retained on the male, and the connection may be either a quick connect or require a tool to assemble. The connection may seal the highest pressures and withstand very high forces on the male and female portions. Also disclosed is the use of this connection in a multiple port device. The connection may be completed in the depth and diameter that is allotted to a "thread-in" or "flare" connection.

Abstract: A quick connector-male conduit assembly embodying both primary and secondary latching functions for use in a conduit coupling. The assembly incorporates a hand-releasable, self-centering snap ring-like retainer and a combination secondary latch and seating indicator bracket to form a male conduit assembly matable with a female receptacle. The female receptacle includes an engaging surface defined by either a radial ridge or at least a pair of outwardly extending studs.
