Abstract:
A copolyester resin composition is described. The copolyester resin composition includes a linear copolyester polymer and a linear copolyester oligomer. A particularly suitable linear copolyester oligomer is an intermediate of the copolyester polymer. The composition exhibits improved melt flowability and is therefore particularly useful in the manufacture of products made via injection molding methods. A process for forming the composition is also described.
Abstract:
A cellulose ester composition is provided comprising at least one cellulose ester and at least one impact modifier and optionally at least one plasticizer. Processes for producing the cellulose ester compositions as well as articles made using these compositions, such as eyeglass frames, automotive parts, and toys are also provided.
Abstract:
A cellulose ester composition with heat distortion temperatures greater than 90° C. is provided comprising at least one cellulose ester and optionally at least one plasticizer. The cellulose ester compositions are useful for making articles such as eyeglass frames, automotive parts, and toys are also provided.
Abstract:
Described are polyesters comprising (a) a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 80 to 100 mole % terephthalic acid residues; optionally, 0 to 20 mole % aromatic dicarboxylic acid residues or aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residues; 20 to 30 mole % of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol residues; and 70 to 80 mole % 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residues. The polyesters may be manufactured into articles such as fibers, films, bottles or sheets.
Abstract:
This invention is related to coating compositions comprising a polyester which further comprises 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol residues, 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residues, and residues of a modifying glycol other than ethylene glycol, chosen from at least one of diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, propylene glycol, neopentyl glycol, and 1,6-hexanediol; and 50 to 100 mole % of residues of at least one of phthalic anhydride, isophthalic acid, and terephthalic acid.
