CONSTITUTION:When the receiving task part 12 acquires a message area pool 14 from a memory pool controlled by the basic software by a message area pool generating means 121, and receives the message from a message queue 11, it returns the message area, and simultaneously, it replenishes another message area by a message area replenishing means 124. The interruption processing part 10 acquires the message area generated by the receiving task part 12 by a message area acquiring means 101, and transmits the message by a message transmitting means 102, and performs communication between the interruption processing part 10 and the receiving task part 12. Thus, the dynamic security of the message area becomes possible for the interruption processing routine.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily read a change in the reproduction elapsed time even when one mail time is varied by adjusting the increment of an indicator so that the time unit for update is made nearly constant independently of the length of a mail. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment 10 and a multi-media mail system 20 are connected via an exchange 5 through a data line BCH and a control information line DCH respectively. The terminal equipment 10 consists of a data transfer buffer 11, control information buffer 12, a CPU 13, a display device 14 and a memory 15, and the display device 14 includes an indicator 14a displaying the reproduction elapsed time. The increment of the indicator 14a is adjusted so that the update time unit is made nearly constant independently of the length of a mail and the data is set to the display device 14. Thus, even if one mail time is varied, the change in the reproduction elapsed time is easily read.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To transfer execution right from a higher privileged level to a lower privileged level by artificially performing command CALL execution procedures by a stack contents setting means and performing execution right transfer procedures by a command IRET. CONSTITUTION:Application 7 uses a command CALL to request the read of a file, which is stored on a floppy 20, to a fundamental software OS kernel 10. The kernel 10 analyzes it to judge that file management 6 should read this file. The kernel 10 sets three parameters to a parameter delivery buffer 5 and transfers the execution right to management 6. Management 6 receives parameters from the buffer 5 and reads out data corresponding to a designated side of the designated file from the floppy 20 to a buffer memory 30 and returns the control to the kernel 10. A command IRET start part 2 in the kernel 10 issues a command to restart execution of application 7. Thus, the execution right is transferred from a higher privileged level to a lower privileged level.

When the retrieval comes down to the fourth level class, the objective chief of a section is retrieved. Hereafter, the retrieval is carried out along the pointer, to be linked to the same level class user information and prepared in the user information, and the user information of all the chiefs of a section, on the same line, i.e., arranged at the same level, is read out from the memory 5, and the information such as the names of all the chiefs of a section or the like is transferred to an address memory 7. Next, the address and the destination of the respective chief of a section, read out successively from the address memory 7 are added to the same message sentence, read out from a message memory 8, by a composing part 9, and transmitted from the composing part 9.

When a prescribed usage area is not found, a moving area deciding part 12 extracts the data storage and usage area positioned just after the vacant area. Next, an area moving part 13 transfers the content of the area extracted at the retrieving part 11, or the deciding part 12, to the said vacant area. By registering a result on the list 7 at a new vacant area registering part 14, and releasing it on the list 7 by an old vacant area releasing part 15, it is possible to arrange and consolidate the vacant area with a few transfer quantity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manage quickly unused areas of a direct access storage device (DASD) by distributing space management information of the DASD onto a main storage and the DASD to reduce the number of times of access to the DASD for reference to space management information. CONSTITUTION:When areas on auxiliary storages 3 and 4 are assigned to and released from users repeatedly, used areas and unused areas exist together. A space reference list 6 is the management table of unused areas and is stored in auxiliary storages 3 and 4, and this table is read out from auxiliary storages and is loaded to a main storage device 2 and is updated by a CPU 1 when a space is assigned or released. According as the number of unused spaces is increased, the number of terms of the list 6 is increased and the overhead due to the search time and the load time is extended. Therefore, the list 6 is divided into units of a certain number of terms (for example, 100 terms), and a reference list management table 7 for them is arranged in the main storage device 2. A pertinent unit is determined by this table 7 and contents of this unit are searched, thus reducing the number of terms to be searched.

The subscriber A when allowing a subscriber B to join in the conference sends a request to start a participant control part 15 from the control part 14 and assigns call processing control memory for controlling the subscriber B, and the control part 15 control the subscriber B. When a subscriber C is permitted to join, operation is performed similarly. Thus, the control part 15 operates on multiple basis for every paarticipant, so the efficiency of a static step is improved.
