    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an edge for a speaker abundant in durability and without vibration and sound quality change by coating polyurethane rubber on the surface of the knitting yarn to arrange a stitch loop radially and formed in a ring shape. CONSTITUTION:At first, a suitable cylindrical knitting yarn 15 is cut to the necessary length, an upper edge part is bound with a suitable yarn 16, next, the bound cylindrical knitting yarn 15 at the upper edge part is coated to a suitable cylindrical body 17, while the lower edge part of the cylindrical knitting yarn 15 is stretched downwards, the circumferential surface of the yarn 15 is bound through a yarn 18 to the cylindrical body 17 side. That is, the stitch loop of the cylindrical knitting yarn 15 is in the radially arranged condition. After the cylindrical knitting yarn 15 is steeped, heated and processed in the methanol solution including the phenol resin, the polyurethane rubber is coated onto a textile surface, suitably thermal-processed and an edge 9 for a speaker cone is formed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out uniform coating with a collecting resin by passing a fiber yarn through a treating bath accommodating a mixture solution of a collecting resin dissolved in a specified solvent with an aqueous solution layer on the upper layer part and then through a dryer. CONSTITUTION:A collecting-working solution 26 prepared by dissolving a collecting resin in a volatile solvent with a higher density than that of an aqueous solution 27 immiscible or sparingly miscible with the aqueous solution 27 is accommodated in a collecting-working vessel 3 and an aqueous solution 27 layer is formed as a sealing layer. A reinforcing fiber yarn 2 is dipped into the collecting-working solution 26 and passed through a dryer 14 with internal air circulation. The yarn 2 treated with a heat treating unit 17 is cut with a rotary cutter 22.
