A method and apparatus for altering the charge distribution upon living membranes with functional stabilization of the membrane physical electrical integrity further comprising a method for using submicroscopic, quadripolar, circular, center charged, energy balanced magnetic device in a four (4) magnet array of alternating polarity in which the magnetic poles are separated only by a distance which will allow a magnetic sphere of influence on all adjacent poles to suppress the firing of action potentials of mammalian sensory neurons. The method and apparatus further provides a static magnetic device for production of a magnetic field for treatment of various disorders. Further there is provided a static magnetic device for production of a magnetic field for treatment of disorders wherein the device provides a static magnetic pole of like polarity on the outer surface of the flux focusing ring adjacent to each of the 4 poles of the invention (focusing magnet) such that the end or top of the focusing magnet is oriented to the geometric side of the pole such that the axis of the two magnets form a 45 to 90 degree angle.

A flux focusing ring (16) is positioned around the flux heads adjacent to the insulated wire coils. Attachment means hold the focusing ring in proper location for maximum benefit. Attached to the flux focusing ring are focusing coils (18a, 20a, 22a, and 24a). These focusing coils are attached to the flux focusing ring in proximity to a head of like charge and at 45° to 90° angle to the long axis of the primary flux pole. In this position, the flux focusing coils along with the focusing ring, the flux return ring and the new iron core of this invention make the gradient steeper, increase the field strength and decrease heating and stray high currents. A process which includes the steps of first collecting the green house gases, such as CO 2 , SO 2 , Nox, CO, emitted from a furnace where fossil fuels are burned; flowing the gases to a sequestration unit where the gases are cleaned and scrubbed; moving the scrubbed gases to a compressor for reducing the volume of the gases; introducing the gases into a plasma arc for ionizing the gases to charged components; providing a source of free electrons; capturing the free electrons in a dense free electron zone; introducing the charged components from the plasma arc into the dense free electron zone for rendering the ions into elemental fragments of carbon, oxygen gas, nitrogen, hydrocarbons, and other elemental components; collecting the elemental fragments of carbon and other elements; routing the oxygen gas to the furnace to provide oxygen to burn additional fossil fuels.

The present invention includes an apparatus for generating an inorganic polymer electret in a colloidal state, the inorganic electret in a colloidal state itself, and applications for the inorganic electret in a colloidal state. The invention includes a method for generation of a colloidal silica particle which is dipolar in that it is positively charged in the nucleus and negatively charged on the outer surface leaving a net negative charge to the particle. The apparatus includes the ability to control particle size, uniformity, consistency, hydration, and three dimensional structure which is desirable for various applications.

This invention relates to an apparatus for treating human pain by application of an electrical stimulus with the proper current density to the body surface and the response modulated by a magnetic field to allow manipulation of the firing rate of peripheral neurons of the A-fiber and C-fiber mechanoreceptor such that chronic and acute pain may be consistently controlled without discomfort from the stimulation. The treatment device electrode (10) includes an adhesive means (11) for holding the electrodes (12) and a magnetic flux generator (13) in contact with the human body. The electrode (12) preferably comprises four electrodes, two of positive polarity and two of negative polarity defining opposite diagonal vertices of a quadrilateral shape.
