A wastewater treating system includes: a vessel defining a vessel space therein, the vessel space being partitioned into an activated sludge zone that is adapted to receive waste water and a body of an activated sludge therein, and a coarse filtering zone that is disposed downstream of and that is in fluid communication with the activated sludge zone for receiving bio-treated wastewater from the activated sludge zone; and a bed of biomass carriers colonized with microorganisms and disposed in the coarse filtering zone for further bio-treating the bio-treated wastewater from the activated sludge zone and for separating coarse suspended solids from the bio-treated wastewater in the coarse filtering zone.

A document feeder for feeding a plurality of paper sheets one by one includes an engaging module and a detachable roller module. The detachable roller module is detachably mounted on the engaging module and includes a frame, a paper separation roller axel, a fixing element and a paper separation roller. The paper separation roller axel is supported on the frame. The fixing element is pivotally coupled to the paper separation roller axel for positioning the detachable roller module on the engaging module. The paper separation roller is disposed within the fixing element and sheathed around the paper separation roller axel.

The scanning module has a light source for generating light for scan. A first heat radiating plate is installed at a scanning module home position in the housing and a second heat radiating plate is fixed at the bottom of the housing. The first and second heat radiating plates are connected together to disperse heat out of the scanner housing.

The image processing apparatus includes: a casing; a carriage module disposed in the casing and movable relative to the object for picking up and converting image of the object into the digital image data; a flat flexible cable having a first end fixed at a certain location of the casing and a second end coupled to and movable with the carriage module for transmitting the digital image data from the carriage module; and a cable-adjusting device coupled to and movable with the flat flexible cable when the second end of the flat flexible cable moves with the carriage module, and having a length varying with a configuration of the flat flexible cable so as to keep stretching the flat flexible cable.
