    Abstract: The present invention is directed to configurations that include spatial relationships and power control settings for uplink transmissions based on different usages (codebook and non-codebook usages), wherein the configuration includes a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state that includes or associated with a plurality of power control parameters, wherein the association between the TCI and the plurality of power control parameters is updated using a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), and wherein at least one power control parameter setting in the configuration is common to a plurality of different uplink transmissions.

    Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are related to beam management in cellular communication networks, and in particular, provide a new tranmission (Tx) beamforming indication based on the flexible Tx beam-forming assignment on the corresponding reference signal configured in a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for downlink (DL) or spatial relation information in the uplink (UL). The Tx beam-forming on the reference signal of the TCI state configured for the DL physical channel/reference signal can be updated based on reported Tx beam in the UL or using UL measurements from Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmission. Similarly, spatial relation information configuration used to indicate Tx beam-forming in the UL, may be also updated based on the reference signal measurements in DL or by suing Downlink Control Information (DCI) based beam indication in a scheduling request indicator (SRI).     Abstract: Embodiments of a user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a media access control Layer (MAC) control element (CE) (MAC CE) may activate a spatial relation info for a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource for two or more indicated component carriers (CCs). The spatial relation info for the SRS resource for the two or more indicated CCs may be applied in response to the activation. The SRS resource may be transmitted in the two or more indicated CCs with a same spatial transmission filter that is used for another reference signal configured in the spatial relation info when the UE is configured with one or more SRS resource configurations and when the spatial relation info is activated.

    Abstract: Technology for an eNodeB operable to decode a sounding reference signal (SRS) received from a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The eNodeB can decode the SRS received from the UE, wherein 5 the SRS is received using one or more SRS resources in a subframe where each SRS resource includes one or more symbols. The subframe can be an uplink subframe dedicated for SRS transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI) subframe used for SRS transmission. The eNodeB can determine uplink channel quality information for a channel between the eNodeB and the UE based in part on the 10 SRS.
