Abstract: To provide a method of producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet whereby greater purification of an inhibitor-strengthening element can be promoted by improvement of an annealing separator and, as a result, iron loss can be effectively improved. The annealing separator contains 1 to 10 parts by mass of a composite oxide, relative to 100 parts by mass of MgO, the composite oxide containing at least one selected from a Group 1: Fe, Mn, Al and Ca, and at least one of a Group 2: Zr, Ta, Mo and Nb.

Abstract: An annealing separator, by being applied to a steel sheet, enables retention of a good shape of a coil after annealing obtained by winding the steel sheet with the annealing separator applied thereto into a coil which is then annealed at a high temperature exceeding 1000° C. A powder used as the annealing separator: contains magnesium oxide as a main component and B: 0.020 mass % or more and 0.200 mass % or less, SO3: 0.030 mass % or more and 2.000 mass % or less, and P2O3: 0.050 mass % or more and 1.000 mass % or less; and contains 0.2 mass % or more and 5.0 mass % or less of particles having a particle size of more than 45 μm and 75 μm or less. The particles having this particle size contain (boron) B: 0.002 mass % or more and less than 0.020 mass %, SO3: less than 0.030 mass %, and P2O3: less than 0.050 mass %.

Abstract: Provided is an annealing separator with which a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a forsterite film with excellent appearance uniformity and adhesion can be obtained. The annealing separator for grain-oriented electrical steel sheet comprises: magnesia that contains 0.05 mass % or more and 0.20 mass % or less of B, a phosphate in 0.1 parts by mass or more and 1.0 part by mass or less in terms of P per 100 parts by mass of the magnesia, and titanium oxide in 1.0 part by mass or more and 10.0 parts by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the magnesia where the titanium oxide contains one or more types of alkali metals in a total amount of 0.050 mass % or more and 1.0 mass % or less, where an amount of P adsorbed on per 1 g of the titanium oxide is 1.0×10−4 g or less.

Abstract: A production method for a treatment solution for forming an insulating coating. Abstract: A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a composition containing, in mass %, C: 0.005% or less, Si: 2.0% to 4.5%, and Mn: 0.5% or less, and also containing Sb and P in respective ranges satisfying 0.01%≦[% Sb]≦0.20% and 0.02%≦[% P]≦2.0×[% Sb], with a balance being Fe and incidental impurities, wherein when the steel sheet is excited to 1.0 T at 50 Hz in a rolling transverse direction, a magnetizing force (TD-H10) and an iron loss (TD-W10) are respectively (TD-H10)≧200 A/m and (TD-W10)≧1.60 W/kg. Thus, a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having excellent transformer core loss can be obtained industrially stably at low cost.

Abstract: In a method for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet by subjecting a slab containing C: 0.002-0.10 mass %, Si: 2.5-6.0 mass %, Mn: 0.01-0.8 mass % and further containing Al and N, or S and/or Se, or Al, N, S and/or Se as inhibitor ingredients to hot rolling, hot band annealing, cold rolling, decarburization annealing, application of an annealing separator and finish annealing, when a certain temperature within a range of 700-800° C. in a heating process of the decarburization annealing is T1 and a certain temperature as a soaking temperature within a range of 820-900° C. is T2, a heating rate R1 between 500° C. and T1 is set to not less than 80° C./s and a heating rate R2 between T1 and T2 is set to not more than 15° C./s, whereby a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having excellent magnetic properties and peeling resistance of forsterite coating is obtained while ensuring decarburization property.
