Abstract:
Systems, methods and software product control voicemail transcription from a communication device. An audio mode is monitored within the communication device to determine a change in status between a sound-on mode and a sound-off mode. Automatic transcription of voicemail messages is enabled if the audio mode status transitions from sound-on to sound-off and automatic transcription of voicemail messages is disabled if the audio mode status transitions from sound-off to sound-on.
Abstract:
A computer for processing a call originated by a call originator to a call target. The computer includes memory having at least one region for storing computer executable program code and processor for executing the program code stored in the memory. The program code includes code for processing a telephone number of the call target, code for accessing a database storing a plurality of outgoing telephone numbers, code for identifying one of the plurality of outgoing telephone numbers based on the telephone number of the call target, and code for originating the outbound call to the call target and including the identified outgoing telephone number into a caller ID field of the outbound call.
Abstract:
A method for processing a communication between a first party and a second party is disclosed. A communication is received from the first party, the communication having first party information, and second party information. An entry in a database is identified that matches at least one of the first party information and the second party information and for which a predetermined rule is satisfied. A telephone number associated with the matching database entry is selected. The selected telephone number is transmitted to the second party.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for limiting voicemail transcription. The methods include answering a forwarded call from a caller to a subscriber of the voicemail transcription service, outputting an audio message to the caller prompting for the caller to leave a voicemail message, recording the voicemail message from audio of the forwarded call, and transcribing the audio of the forwarded call into text. The step of transcribing may be limited according to one or more of the following criteria: the duration of the recording, the number of characters transcribed, the number of text messages generated and filled from transcribed text, the caller ID of the call, the time the call is received, and the duration of the transcription. The systems include a call handler and a transcriber. At least one of the methods may be embodied by a software product including instructions for executing the steps of the method.
Abstract:
A method and system for Multiple Packet Routing is disclosed. A call signal is broken into a string of data packets and sent from a first endpoint device to a second endpoint device using at least two streams in parallel, each stream including the string of data packets. The streams are received at the second endpoint device, received data packets are identified from a first stream, and at least one of the data packets missing from the first stream is identified. A replacement data packet corresponding to the missing data packet from at least one second stream is identified. A complete string of data packets are reassembled from the received data packets from the first stream and the at least one replacement data packet from the at least one second stream. The complete string is converted back into the call signal.
